Utilise the useable area of your gazebo with additional bedrooms and storage, thanks to the Gazebo Portico Tent 3.0 from OZtrail.
This tent boasts a 190T fabric and its bucket floor has welded PE corners for strength. When the weather is warm, achieve fresh airflow through the large vents too, and keep insects out thanks to the No-See-Um mesh. This tent uses OZtrail’s Portico pole system, which features nearly vertical sidewalls for maximum interior space and fibreglass poles for additional stability. Plus, to set up, there are roof tensioners on valance to fit gazebos of different heights.
Add a bedroom to your gazebo, with a Gazebo Portico Tent 3.0 from OZtrail.
Hi, Will this Gazebo tent fit other 3meter Gazebos? In particular the Wanderer?
G'day Grant,
We haven't tested this but it does look like this will work, the Portico attaches via velcro tabs on the legs and on the bars across the top of the gazebo. As long as it is 3 metres and you are able to attach it via these points you should be sweet!
Will the portico fit with the oztrail blackout gazebo given it has a different roofline to the standard gazebos.
G'day Bethany,
As the OZtrail Blockout Gazebo 3m has a canopy that comes down covering the legs of the gazebo it wouldn't be able to connect properly as the velcro straps wouldn't be able to do up and the extra canopy would get in the way.
Hi, what combination of oztrail easy fold stretchers fit into this tent? Ideally hoping that two would fit nicely with a walkway down the middle?
G'day Ryan,
The tent tapers towards the back both on the floor and on the back wall.
Ideally you'd want a stretcher no longer than 2m to fit in, and no wider than 80cm to give you a 80cm walkway.
You can use the standard single, or low rise single in the Easy Fold range.

G'day Kara,
Yes, the Gazebo Portico 3.0 will fit the Deluxe Commerical 3m Gazebo.
Could you use a OZtrail Gazebo Monsoon Rainfly 3.0 Awning as a fly for the portico? Potentially it is long enough to cover it.
G'day Tim,
You can use the Monsoon Rainfly Awning over the top of the Portico. It's not an exact fit, but it can help to provide some extra weather protection.
How will this portico hold up in the dust? I'm planning an outback road trip (winter or spring) and thought this might be an easier option for the nights we're only stopping overnight and for storage for our longer stays (currently have the Oztrail Deluxe Hydro 3x3 and the Coleman 6P Gold instant up).
G'day Vanessa,
The windows on the Portico 3.0 don't seal at the bottom, so if you experience windy/dusty conditions like you generally get in central Australia, you might find that everything inside the Portico ends up coated in a layer of dust. I'd say it should be ok to use in fair weather conditions, but in windy weather, you might need to try and find a way to help secure the window flaps to reduce dust coming in.
Can this be used with the tent inner kit from oztrail?
G'day Mason,
They both use similar attachment points, primarily velcro straps around the leg poles and in terms of the tent inner - roof attachments to the internal framework.
Whilst I haven't personally given this kind of set up a go, I cannot see any reason why it wouldn't work!
I would say not! We have an inner tent and it only has one door and 3 windows. If you were to use this then the doors would be facing each other and you wouldn't be able to get in or out as there is no space. If you had it facing a window you still wouldn't be able to get it as the inner tent is a full 3x3 in size. You'd maybe be able to squeeze your way in but would be a tight sqeeze
Does the Gazebo Portico 3.0 have just a mosquito front door or is there also a privacy front door? Thank you!
G'day Amanda,
There is a dual-layer front door that provides mosquito protection and privacy.
Does it come with a rain coat for waterproofing?
G'day Jess,
The Portico is seam-sealed so should keep most water out. In heavier rain, we'd suggest grabbing yourself a Monsoon Rainfly to be sure.
Leaks a lot. Had one night of constant not too heavy rain and all the floor ended up with puddles in it. Not suitable for rain at all. Would recommend a fly of some description.
Is there any access for power leads and any hanging spots for lights ?
G'day Peter,
Unfortunately, there are no specific options for power cables or light hangers in the Portico 3.0.
Hi guys, we have a Coleman deluxe gazebo 3x3. Will the portico attach?
G'day Joanne,
The Oztrail Portico isn't really designed to work with Gazebos that aren't Oztrail branded as the fitting to secure and tension the portico are quite specific. You could theoretically fit the Portico to the Coleman Deluxe Gazebo 3 x 3 but it might take a little bit of adapting and modifying to make it work effectively.
My vehicle boot will only fit the Oztrail Compact Gazebo. Can this be use? I’m uncertain about the height as it’s lower than the normal Oztrail gazebo.
G'day Paul,
The OZtrail Portico 3.0 is compatible with any 3.0 OZtrail Gazebos. There is a small difference in height between the compact and standard models, but I believe allowances have been made for this in the Portico's design. Hope that helps.
3x3
G'day Shane,
Thanks for getting in touch, unfortunately, we're not sure whether or not the Oztrail DGazebo Portico 3.0 will fit your Wanderer gazebo as we have no way of testing this. What we can tell you is the will connect in each corner of the gazebo frame using a small hook, and attach to the side poles with a small velcro tab. It's possible it will fit but unfortunately, we're not able to confirm.
The dimensions are confusing "300/240W x 240D cm". I take it the floor dimensions are 300cm x 240cm. Can you confirm. I want to put 3 Zempire Monstamats in which at "198L x 68W cm" should fit fine with bag room to spare. Cheers - John
G'day John,
Thanks for picking that up, we'll fix that up. The measurements are 300cm W x 240cm D x 240cm H at the door.
Hope that helps!
G'day again John,
Ive found out we've had the incorrect information from Oztrail. The 3.0 prtico is actually tapered, so the door width is 300cm, whilst the back wall length is only 240cm. Even so, looks like you'll still have plenty of room for your Monstamats, and apologies for the incorrect information earlier!
Hi, I was just wondering whether it is possible to fit two (or three!) of these porticos on adjacent sides of a gazebo?
G'day Daniel,
Great question and a good idea! I've not personally seen this before but I've confirmed with a colleague who does this regularly, it is definitely possible to attach multiple OZtrail Gazebo Porticos to the OZtrail gazebos.
Does the portico fit the Oztrail Fiesta Compact Gazebo as well as the OZtrail Deluxe. Thanks :)
G'day Lee-Anne,
The Oztrail Portico Tent 3.0 fits onto any of the Oztrail Gazebos that have a 3m side, so it's compatible with both the OZtrail Fiesta Compact 3.0 Gazebo and the OZtrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo.
Do I need to season the seams to ensure waterproofing?
G'dau K,
You won't need to season the Gazebo Portico 3.0 as they are not made from Canvas. These are seam sealed so they should be fairly waterproof.
I have just bought the Coleman gazebo with lights built into it. Just wondering if this attachment would fit or if Coleman do one similar that attaches?
G'day Ashleigh,
The Gazebo Portico 3.0 is designed to fit the Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo so it's hard to say. They rely on small hooks and velcro tabs to attach, and the Coleman Instant Lighted Shelter doesn't have these attachment points. You could probably try and make it work but it wouldn't work overly well. At this
When packed up will it fit in my Honda?
G'day Cheryl,
The Portico 3.0 is an additional accessory for the Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo, so if you already have one of these you'll be fine in the Honda as they pack into a bag that is 50cm L x 25cm W x 25cm H. However if you need to purchase a 3m Gazebo too that it may not fit in your Honda depending on the model. You can find the Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo here, double check the packed size and maybe measure you're boot space.
Will you be making a model in the future with the zipper attachment
G'day Karen,
Unfortunately, the OZtrail Gazebo Portico needs the structure of the Gazebo to stop it from collapsing, so it can't be set up on its own. As for any future designs, we don't design or manufacture these products, they're all done by OZtrail, so I can't comment a huge amount on their intentions but we've not be told that any changes to their designs are coming in the near future.
I assume it does not have zips down the sides to attach to the zipped wall awnings to make a enclosed tent/gazebo unit?
G'day Dan,
You've assumed correctly mate, the Oztrail Gazebo Portico 3.0 doesn't have zips to connect it to the walls of the gazebo.
How many people can sleep in it we are a famy of three
G'day Amanda,
Having just had a bit of a look at the Oztrail Gazebo Portico, I would suggest that your family of 3 would be alright sleeping inside it but I wouldn't want to have any more than 3 or maybe 4 people in it.
Is there enough room to fit 2 side by side on a 6x3 Gazebo
G'day Jake,
We've had a look at these Oztrail Gazebo Porticoes and can we're pretty sure that you can put two next to each other on a 6.3 Oztrail Gazebo. You might just need to wrangle the straps around each other a little to get it to work.
Just wounds ring if this side tent is waterproof
G'day John,
The Oztrail Gazebo Portico 3.0 is made from a seam-sealed polyester, which means that it certainly has a level of waterproof ability. It doesn't come with a formal Waterhead rating though, so the level of rain it can withstand isn't totally clear.
Would this fit onto /upto the back of a jpod camper ? Can it be attached to a van or car? What is height and what width at door end?
G'day Rachel,
We don't stock the JPOD Camper, so I have no knowledge and as a result, I'm unable to provide you with any advice on this one. Sorry
However, there is no easy way to attach it to a vehicle without making your own attachment set up as the Oztrail Gazebo Portico has been designed to attach to the specific attachment set up of the Oztrail Gazebos.
Hi there we have another brand 3 x 3 Gazebo, do you think This would fit
G'day Katrina,
It's hard to answer this one at the moment as we're yet to receive stock for this new product. The challenge is then further compounded because I'm not sure what features (velcro tabs, cross frame, hooks) your current gazebo has. Once we receive stock I'll be able to give you a clearer idea of whether it might work.
