It seems by the power consumption figures this is extremely efficient. I’m comparing it to the CFX75 and the MTV60. Is the Danfoss more efficient of am I missing something? I need the most efficient and reliable unit possible.
G'day Jez,
Its a great question, but honestly there is no clear cut answer. Something to consider is that even between your most efficient and least efficient brands out there, you're probably looking at a 5% overall difference, max.
Unfortunately, the factors of power consumption do not just come down to ambient temperature & fridge temperature.
Each car fridge company will obviously advertise the best looking specifications they can, but they are not fixed. And there isnt really standardisation with how they can advertise this info.
You can have 3 identical model fridges running at the same temperature conditions and all will have vastly different power draw depending on: how full your fridge is, what kinds of items you have in your fridge, how many times you're opening the lid, whether or not you have an insulated fridge bag, or what kind of surface your fridge is sitting on, aswell as how long you fridge has been running.
Depending on how you're using your fridge, there can be up to a 40% difference between identical models in the same temperature conditions. So in terms of your question on wether Waeco or Engel or Evakool is more power efficent, the answer is they're going to essentially be the same, and a call can't be made on that either way.
Does this fridge come with all the cables to be able to connect 240v and 12v or are these cables sold separately. If so, what cables do we need?
G'day Daniel.
The G75-DX Glacier is supplied with both the 12/24V cable and 240V so you won't need to purchase any separate cables.
Can a insulated cover be purchased for this?
G'day Doug,
Yep, it can! The Glacier Fridge Cover comes in the G75-DX size, and the G80.
Just wondering if you can turn either side off or do they both have to be a fridge and or freezer
G'day Craig,
The Evakool Dual Zone Fridge Freezers need to fully
You show 3 sizes: Internal Dimensions: 36W x 19D x 39H cm 36W x 19.5D x 17H cm | 36W x 22.5D x 39H cm Can you elaborate....what is each compartment size ,,,,there are only two
G'day John,
I've just had a look at our display model as I was a little confused myself. What I did discover was that out sizes are nearly correct. The left-hand compartment is 36W x 19D x 39Hcm, and the right hand compartment has two baskets due to the space taken by the compressor. The left basket of the right-hand side is 36W x 19.5D x 39H, the right basket of the right-hand side is 36W x 22.5D x 17H. Hopefully, that clarifies to some extent, but I'm also happy to put it in a diagram if that helps, just email me back and I can send through a picture.
Wifi enabled??
G'day Jo,
The Evakool G75-DX Glacier Dual Zone Fridge Freezer is WIFI Enabled so it can connect with the app on your phone to control and monitor the temperature of the unit. This means you can make sure your fridge is working effectively while travelling without having to climb into the back and look at the display panel.
Height of power inlets sockets from bottom of fridge?
G'day Ian,
I had to make a call to find this out as we don't have one on display right now, but the team in our Qld store have measured it up for me. The 240v socket sits approx 10cm above the base and the 12v socket is approx 15cm above the base. Both are recessed into the unit about 1cm. I hope this helps mate!
