Aimed at the lightweight food loving camper, the 360 Degrees Furno Large Cook Set comprises everything the outdoor chef will need to cook up a feast for 1-3 people.
Made from hard-anodised aluminium, this cook set is easy to clean and will last many seasons. It comprises a 2.8L pot with lid (235g), 1.7L pot with lid (168g), 1L pan (126g), pot gripper (44g), microfiber dishcloth (12g), and a storage pouch (30g). That’s right, everything you will need to boil, sauté, and fry up a gourmet meal in the bush.
The nesting design means it is perfect for the weight and space-conscious car camper and hiking duo or group alike. Hiking solo? Just take the 1.7L pot with you – more than enough for your freeze dry meal and cups of tea.
Hi, would the s2s xcup and xbowl fit inside the 1.7pot with handle and cloth inside too?
G'day Kat,
We don't currently have stock of the Large Cook Set so we can't check this for you, but based on dimensions the XBowl and 2 XCups should just fit inside the smaller pot with the handle and cloth inside.
Could the frypan be placed inside a camp oven (on a trivet) to be used as a cake tin?
G'day Natalie,
It's not something we'd recommend as hard anodised aluminium isn't generally able to handle high heat like you'll get in a camp oven. Something like the Shuttle Chef Pudding Tin might be a better option.
How much would just the 1.7L pot, pot grabber and cloth weigh? Thanks :)
G'day Xavier,
I've just tested this out instore for you and it comes to 240g.
Hope that helps!
Hello! I see that the pots have no handles on them... does the pot grip work on the pan as well as both pots? So you have to keep moving it from pot to pot if you are cooking with two or three of them? Can you get additional grips so they all have a handle?
G'day Alexa,
The Furno Large Cookset just comes with one pot gripper that you'd need to change between the pots and pan (yes, the gripper will fit the pan) as you go. 360 Degrees don't sell their gripper as a separate item, as the gripper isn't designed to stay in place while the pots are in use, you just use it to lift the pot or hold it to stir etc. Trangia makes a Pot Handle that is similar and available separately, however, the design is slightly different. Depending on your main use there could be an option with built-in handles that will suit you a little better. Feel free to send us an email with your main uses and the key features you're after and we can suggest a few options.
I find the trangia stove can be really difficult to clean. Everything seems to stick to it so I find myself bring standard steel kitchen pots to use on a gasmate stove instead. How do these pots compare? Would something like a stir fry or curry wipe out without too much trouble? Are they durable enough to be scrubbed without damage?
G'day Jacob,
Being Anodised Aluminium you're not going to want to scrub them too hard, but you shouldn't have too much trouble cleaning them up. From my experience stuff sticking hard to the pot happens when the hiking stove has cranked a bit more heat out then than neccessary. so if you're gently bringing stuff up to the perfect temp, and cleaning up sooner rather than later, you should be fine.
Can the pots be used on a gas BBQ like a Weber Q?
G'day Sally,
The Furno Large Cook Set is designed to be used on a hiking style gas stove. I've chatted to one of my colleagues and he said that the Weber Q doesn't have a spot to put pots, so he wouldn't recommend it. If your BBQ has a separate gas burner on the side we'd say it might be ok, but if not we'd suggest grabbing a hiking or camping style gas stove to use the set on.
Can the large pot set be stacked inside the xlarge pot set
They do, Daniel. The 350 Furno Pot range are all designed to work with each other and nest together nicely.
Is there any restrictions as to what type of utensils can be used on the cookware? Metal, silicon, wood etc Thanks
G'day Naomi,
Sea to Summit don't warn against using metal utensils and the hard anodized coating is much more durable than the old
When packed I assume that the frying pan fits into the bigger pot first then the smaller pot? Then can you also fit in the 360 furno small pot set?
G'day Rob,
I've just had a look at this one for you. The pan of the 360 Degrees Furno Large Cook Set starts on the bottom, then the large pot sits inside that with the small pot inside the large. Unfortunately, the small Cook Set won't fit inside the large.
Can you please advise if this set is non stick
G'day Leigh,
The 360 Degrees Furno Large Cook Set is made of a hard anodised aluminium. This makes it a little better for food not sticking but isn't quite at the same level of a Teflon coated pan.
Are all components compatible with the following stove: https://www.snowys.com.au/furno-stove
G'day Bob,
Yes, the 360 Degrees Furno Cook Set is going to be compatible with the Furno stove from 360 Degrees.
can they be used on a induction cooker?
Hi Debbie,
This pot set is made of hard anodized aluminum which is an excellent conductor however by itself is not compatible with an induction cooktop. (Manufacturers often overcome this by using a stainless steel plate on the base of an aluminium pan to make it compatible however this is not the case with this model).
For other suitable options, cast iron, steel, and stainless steel pans with an iron base or core are good, but glass, aluminium and copper generally are not. We have some cast iron options within our camp cooking range but unfortunately they are not as light or compact as the hiking range.
I hope this information helps but feel free to give us a call if you have further questions.
.
That's a good question Jeff, I had to go and test this myself. The large lid fits 'inside' the frying pan rather than sit on top of it. It's a neat fit, but the only thing stopping it from going right to the bottom of the frypan would be the food within. The saucepans have a lip in which the lid sits so it stays on top of the pot.
Hi are these just for a gas burner or can they go on a grill over a campfire?
G'day Michelle,Â
You should be able to use the Furno Large Cook Set over any gas stove, or a fire as long as it's a small one - just be wary that using this set on a fire will blacken the cookware a bit.Â
is it possible to get an extra handle for this set. I just know I will lose it
Hello is a spare handle available to be bought seperately yet?
We sure do Amy, you can find the MSR Pan Handler (due early November) and Trangia Pot Handles (currently in stock) on our website.
Hi, you might like to check this for yourself, the pots are not large enough to fit the claimed volume. We've just bought them locally & checked the volume claimed when home. Have been looking on the web for similar complaints. 3L fits 2.4L & 2L pot fits 1.57L Regards,
Specifically bought to get a 3L pot. So disappointed to find that it only holds 2.4 to the lid rim. Not as advertised .
G'day Geoff,
I'm really sorry about this, it looks like we corrected the information in our specs previously but not the description and you're right, this is misleading. Can you either send us an email at service@snowys.com.au or give us a call on 1300 914 007 so we can sort this out for you. I'll get the information on the site updated asap for future customers.
