It’s stylish, it’s portable, it’s sturdy, and it’s easy to pack and store. It’s the Frontier Fire Pit from Supa Peg.
Renowned for their innovative design, Super Peg has come up with an 8 panelled system to create an enclosed octagonal space for a safe and efficient fire pit.Made from laser-cut heavy-duty steel, the fire pit packs down flat to just 4cm in height and it comes with a durable carry bag so you can easily stow it underneath the car seat when struggling to fit all your other gear in for a weekend away. The base plate keeps your fire off the ground and with the attractive flame cut-outs in each panel, there is plenty of airflow to allow you to get that campfire lit and going in no time.
For such a nifty unit, you wouldn’t expect the decent usable fire pit space of 31 litres, but that’s exactly what it delivers. Plus, the ability for cooking simply by attaching the included BBQ rails. The panels and base plates all lock together and are held in place by a specifically engineered retaining/locking pin so you can be assured it won’t fall apart mid-blaze.
With the Frontier Fire Pit from Supa Peg it won’t matter if you’re camping out bush or having mates around on the weekend for a backyard barbie, the only thing you have to worry about is your wood and an esky full of bevvies.

Can you use a 9 quart camp oven with this fire pit?
Karen - St Helens Park, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day Karen,
There are adjustable support rods for camp oven cooking, and a firepit diameter of 38cm. As long as your camp oven base is less than 38cm it will sit nicely on the rods.

Cooling down for packing up!1 answer
Hey, just wondering about how much heat it retains after a night of use? the next morning will when I go to pack it up will i need heat proof gloves? and will it melt the bag? also how easy is this to clean?
Matt - Ringwood, VIC(4 years ago)
G'day Matt,
You'll have no worries packing this beauty away in the morning. As it is fairly compact your coals will burn down and cool off before morning so that it is ready to pack away. In terms of cleaning, we'd recommend brushing it down with a hand broom after you've used it, that should do the trick. You could also hose it off and give it a bit of a scrub occasionally if it gets too dirty/dusty.

Is the steel powder coated to help avoid rust
Brian - Sydney (4 years ago)
G'day Brian,
The only information Supa Peg Provide is that they are made from Heavy Duty Steel, but there is no mention of a coating. Having a look at them, they don't appear to have a coating on them, however we've not had any reports of these rusting so we don't think you'll have any issues.
Leece - Snowys(4 years ago)
If this item was powder coated the powder coating would melt on its first use

Have had no rusting problems with mine surface rust only don't leave ash in bottom to get rained on
Robert - Batlow(3 years ago)
It’s made of mild steel, and so yes, it will rust if not taken care of. Recommend a light oil coating when packing away.

The are two base plates. Where does the second one go?1 answer
It doesn’t mention the second plate in the instructions either....
Mike - NSW(4 years ago)
G'day Mike,
I've just had a look at our display model, and you're correct the instructions don't mention it! The locking plate with the larger holes goes into the locking mechanism and the other plate with the smaller holes sits on top of that one to reduce the amount of ash dropping through.
