Is the flame adjustable.3 answers
Hi, I am interested in this product. I would like to know how adjustable the flame is, can it be turned down to a low simmer for regular cooking, and does it maintain the flame steadily? I would also like to know if you can fit a regular sized mocha pot on the burner. Thank you for your time

G'day Jan,
The Framed Triple Ring Burner does have gas flow control taps, so there is some degree of control and you can usually turn them down low enough to rapidly simmer something, but to simmer as you would on a burner at home might not quite be achievable. If you're using a 12-cup Moka Pot then it should just be large enough to fit, however, the general rule when using that style coffee pot is to not allow the flame to extend beyond the base size of the pot, so based on that, we think this stove is going to bit a bit too big and pack a bit too much heat.

Hi, thank you for your help. Just another follow up question, is it possible to turn the gas flow control taps while something is cooking? I would assume that the taps would get very hot when the stove is turned on, due to the proximity of the flame and the cast iron materials, is that the case? Thank you again!

Not a worry Jan, and yes you can adjust the flow tap while the stove is in use, the heat stays fairly centralised.

How hot does it get?1 answer
Do the legs heat up? How would it go on a plastic table?
Eric - Long Jetty (7 years ago)
G'day Eric,
The Companion Framed Triple Ring Burner frame is made from Cast Iron and will heat up. We recommend against using any Gas Stove appliance on a plastic surface because of the potential for heat damage.

What type of connection does it use? 1 answer
What type of connection does it use? Does it connect to a standard gas bottle/ large or small?
Eric - Long Jetty (7 years ago)
G'day Eric,
The Companion Framed Triple Ring Burner uses a POL gas fitting which is the standard fitting for 9kg gas bottles (the large ones). You can get adapters to fit the smaller 3/8 fitting gas bottles here.

G'day Alby - Just had a look at what we have in stock. The connector is actually positioned on the right! We really do need to update that photo - thanks for bringing it to my attention. :) Hope that helps. Cheers, Paul
