would this suit MSR Whisperlite Universal1 answer
Hey Team! I have an MSR Whisperlite Universal backpacking stove, but am afraid it will burn/melt my plastic Lifetime folding table, especially while "priming" the stove as the flames get rather crazy. Would this be a suitable mat to protect my table?

Good question, Adriane, not one I can answer with 100% confidence though sorry.
The mat is made from an aluminium coated fibreglass, it is designed to protect the ground underneath the BioLite firepit from small embers and reflect heat upwards for extra warmth. It is fire resistant and is likely to protect your table, however, the long legs on the FirePit probably wouldn't get as hot as the legs on the Whisperlite, so I can't say for sure how well the mat would insulate a plastic table from this sort of direct contact heat.
Sorry I couldn't give you a definitive answer on this.

Is this mat acually fireproof or will embers burn a hole through it please?

The Fire Mat isn't specifically specified as being fireproof, rather it is designed to reflect radiant heat and provide protection for your deck/lawn/pavers from the heat of the Fire Pit. The mat is made from Fibreglass Fabric, which is not flammable, however, given enough heat, it is possible for anything to burn. If the Fire Pit is being used as specified there shouldn't be much of a risk of embers.
