A cost effective and lightweight alternative to heavy duty canvas tents, the Oztrail Fast Frame Tourer 450 Cabin Tent fits eight adults comfortably in the two room tent with a large front awning allowing more space to enjoy the outdoors.

With a strong steel pole frame design with non-corrosive plastic hubs, the Fast Frame Tourer Tent maintains great stability in strong winds due to Tensile Tab™ with J-Hooks to keep the poles in position and Tensile Loops™ to provide shock absorption at the peg down and guy rope points.

Made from a heavy duty 150D RipStop Polyester on both the inner and outer, the Fast Frame Tent is waterproof thanks to the silver coated UVTex° treatment and heat taped seams on the fly and a bucket style floor to prevent moisture and water from pooling inside. Storm flaps that Velcro together on the No-See-Um mesh windows allow for great ventilation whilst keeping water out.

That's a great question Natalie and one I only have a rough answer to right now. Its about 450 long and 200cm wide but I don't have exact measurements (we don't have one setup right now) and it does taper at the front so what we'll do is contact the suppliers when they return to work on Monday and get back to you with the total area so you know for sure.

According to Oztrail, the Fast Frame Tourer 450 tent has an awning that's 460cm long and 170cm wide - but it will taper a bit which you can kind of see from the product images.

Hi Lisa, Thanks for getting back to me. We are now thinking the 450 might be too small, so looking at the Brampton by outdoor connection, Turbo Lite 300 by black wolf, (or cheaper one by oztrail) or maybe one of the coleman 3 room with large awning (montana or instant up I think, there's a couple of models). Any advice as to which is better?

Hi Joanne, the picture displayed currently is the only image that Oztrail have supplied. I'm sure that we could arrange to put one up and take some more pictures once they're back in stock, but unfortunately we don't have an ETA at this stage, which means that it's likely to be a few months away still. If you're needing something sooner, consider the Coleman Instant Up 10P Gold Series. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.

If the windows do close on the inside do they close bottom to top?

Good question Jocelyne, there is no mention from Oztrail about this so I've pulled one of our Fast Frame tents out to check for you. There are internally adjustable privacy screens over the windows, they are as you mention adjusted from the top down i.e. if the privacy screen/zipper is closed then the zipper pull finishes at the top.

Is the separating internal wall stitched into the floor?1 answer

When you open the internal area into one space, is there any part of the wall raised above the group or is it completely flat to have no tripping hazard?

Hi Josh - Great question. The zip does go all the way around, so there is a small flap and zip along the floor. It shouldn't act as too much of a tripping hazard, but be mindful of it. Cheers, Paul

It all comes down to durability Erica, the Black Wolf Turbo Tents have a sturdier frame and thicker fabrics, they are more reliable in inclement weather than the Fast Frame tents which were produced as a cost effective alternative to the Turbo range. This being said, we have not had any negative feedback on the Fast Frame series, and if it is a tent for occasional use in mild weather conditions then they would be a good way to save some money for other camping items!

We only carry the full fly or 'Tourer' series of Fast Frame tents Andrew, and the fly comes complete with the tent. The cap fly or 'Cruiser' series don't offer the same weather protection as the sides are not enclosed. It's personal choice, and we could get the Cruiser series but if you want reliable weather protection, particularly against heavy rain then stick with the full fly option.
