Pack down1 answer
What is the right way to pack this tent so that if fits back in the bag? The inner tent fits buts we couldn't fold the fly properly to fit in the same back, we had to leave the bag open... Thank you
Marcio - Bronte, NSW(2 weeks ago)
G'day Marcio,
I reckon if you got 5 people to fold the fly, they'd probably all do it differently. There's no right or wrong way, but the most important thing it to make sure you're pushing all the air out of the fly at each step of folding. Use the width of the bag as a guide for how big the final packed length needs to be, and fold accordingly. it helps to have two people so you can work evenly from both ends, and just practice!

Front storage space size1 answer
How far out from the inner tent does the front storage space reach? Wanting to compare to the Coleman Northstar 6P's front space.
Bobby - East brisbane, QLD (4 weeks ago)
G'day Bobby,
You're looking at about 1m of space from the front of the vestibule, to the internal front door, at floor level. It is a little smaller than the Coleman tent vestibule.

Twin hub1 answer
Is the twin hub really a benefit or is it just another point that something could go wrong?
Joahua - Dakabin, QLD (6 months ago)
G'day Joahua,
The twin hub frame opens the roof out and creates more open internal space & headroom. There shouldn't really be much going wrong with this frame, feedback on them so far has been great. Any instant up tents can have a hard time in prolonged winds, regardless of the brand, so grab some trace springs if you're expecting to be camping in poor weather.

Set up1 answer
Can this be set up by one person?
Daryl - Woodend, VIC(6 months ago)
G'day Daryl,
Yeah, absolutely - it will take you abit longer than it would if you had a mate, but you shouldnt have any issues setting this tent up solo.

ceiling ventilation1 answer
I'm tossing up between this and the Coleman Northstar Darkroom. Leaning towards this because of the finer mesh and that rear heat/vent port that I think's perfect for a little battery extraction fan. What if any advantage does the inners mesh ceiling in this give to condensation management, compared to the Coleman's solid inner ceiling?
Chris - Brisbane, QLD(7 months ago)
G'day Chris,
The mesh ceiling allows for more functional air flow, which means there's air actively moving through the tent space preventing condensation as readily as if you have a solid material roof. Realistically there's no discernable difference in ambient temperature, as a tent doesnt have an insulative value, but it makes just that extra bit of difference to assist with condensation.

Pricing 1 answer
Why is this now 1/3 more expensive than my two year old 6p version? The only change appears to be the welcome gussets but all other features appear the exact same. Purchased for $499 and now over $800!
Kate - ACT(7 months ago)
G'dat Kate,
The RRP on the original Lumos 6P was $799 - so sounds like you grabbed it in one of our sales. The new Lumos range has upgraded internal lighting which is now fully serviceable/replaceable, upgraded fabric and blockout coating, gusseted windows, and heating/air-conditioning ducting compatible. We will have sales and promotional prices on these tents at some stage, so keep an eye out for that.
