Guy ropes1 answer
Does this mesh tent require guy ropes?
Kay - Treeby, WA(3 years ago)
G'day Kay,
It doesn't come with guy ropes but they may be a good idea to grab seperately if you are expecting to be in super windy weather.

Quality of mesh1 answer
Is the mesh fine enough to prevent midges from entering?
Ken - Doncaster(4 years ago)
G'day Ken,
The mesh that Oztrail use is a fairly fine gauge mesh, however, the only midge proof mesh is called 'No-see-um' mesh. Unfortunately, this isn't used on the Family Screen Dome, but when used in combination with some repellant you should be all set.

Walls andnwaterproof fly1 answer
Is there a waterproof fly that could be attached? Also, would there be a side wall, even if for a different tent or gazebo that could be attached for more shade? We want to use this for camping away from our caravan in hot WA, fly-ridden locations, and we would also use it as a dining room at other times, and to keep our small dog safe from flies when he’s eating or sleeping.
Julie - Coolangatta (4 years ago)
G'day Julie,
Unfortunately not, this is really just designed to provide screen protection from flys, mosquitoes etc. There are no attachment points for any type of fly or wall structure, but you could look to rig up a bit of a tarp shelter over the top, however, there isn't anything that will specifically fit.

What is the area of shaded (top) part?1 answer
Obviously it is not designed as a shade, but what amount of shade would there be?
Siobhan - Brisbane(4 years ago)
G'day Siobhan,
You're correct there, this one isn't really designed to provide shade, however, the solid fabric at the top is approximately 2m wide, by 3m long, so depending on the angle of the sun you might catch some shade throughout the day. Just take note that there is no UV rating on the fabric.

Zips1 answer
Can these zips be zipped to the top so children can't open them?
jessie - shepparton(4 years ago)
G'day Jessie,
As far as I can tell the zips are only one way and are not able to be zipped at the top.

What is the height of this tent please?1 answer
Wondering if it’s head height and I can stand up inside.
Rhonda - Brisbane bayside(4 years ago)
G'day Rhona,
The maximum head height is 200cm high, so you should be able to easily stand up in the centre.
