Am I able to swap out an item in the set such as the coffee pot for an equivalent item ?eg: bowls ?
G'day Steven,
Unfortunately, we're not able to make any swaps of substitutions in this set, as it is supplied to us as a full set.
You state here that these should not be used on a campfire, however on the billy single item you say it can be used on a campfire. These billy's are the same brand and appear to be the same to me. Could you confirm which is correct.
G'day David,
The advice previously given by Nick on the whole set is probably a little more relevant to the entire set. We'd say it's safe enough to use on a campfire but just be cautious and don't put the items directly in the flame.
Is it Porcelain Enamel?
G'day Melanie,
I've just called Companion Brands and they confirmed that the Campfire Enamel Cook Set is porcelain-baked enamel.
Can it be used on a gas stove?
G'day Carmen,
The Campfire Enamel Cook Set can definitely be used on a gas stove, no worries at all. We'd just suggest you avoid using them on a campfire.
G'day just would like to know if the frying pan, coffee pot and large pot can be used on a campfire or bed of coals?
G'day John. These enamelled pots, pans and plates are not designed to be used on a fire or coals directly as it can dramatically affect their performance and structure. If you are looking more for something that can sit on the coals to cook your meal the perhaps look more toward our range of cast iron cookware, which distributes the heat much better and causes less hot spots that will ruin your meal.
The description says black and white speckles but it looks blue??
G'day Sue,Â
I've just had a look at the display model, and the Campfire Enamel Cook Set is definitely a speckled blue shade. I'm not too sure what happened with those specs there so I do apologise, but I've fixed it up to reflect the correct colour now Sue.Â
