Mother Nature sure is spectacular, but she can be a tricky mistress – which is why you’ve got to prepare for the worst. You’re going to need things like a compass, multi-tool, first aid supplies and an emergency bag for warmth – like this one from Elemental.
A product like the Elemental Emergency Bag is essential to keep on hand should the weather become extreme as it helps to prevent or treat hypothermia. This is because it’s made from silver aluminised polyester, so it’ll retain radiated body heat, and its reflective properties make it useful for making signals. Windproof, waterproof and very durable – this bag will help you battle the elements should you find yourself in a sticky situation.
It’s also useful for when you need the extra warmth and protection over your sleeping bag if the weather turns unexpectedly. The compact size and ultralight weight means it’s not going to take up room in your pack, so you haven’t got an excuse not to include one in your emergency kit.

G'day Mohit,
We hope you never have to use the Elemental Emergency Survival Bag at all but in the case that you do, you can fold it back up and use it again if you need to. The only small catch is that you most likely won't be able to fold it up as small as it once was once you've used it.

Emergency bag

G'day Christine,
Good question. No reason why you couldn't use the Emergency Survival Bag under your mattress, but I'm not sure how effective it would be as it relies upon reflecting your body heat to generate the warmth.
