Is this really as useless as all the one star reviews say?3 answers
Hi guys, There’s a lot of one star reviews for this item. Is it really as small/useless as everyone says? I have the twelve egg holder in orange (unsure whether it’s the same brand), and that seems fine to me with the eggs I buy. If it really doesn’t even take small 50g eggs, has this been fed back to the company, and is there a new model coming out?

G'day Luke,
It's a great question. For context, we have sold nearly 600 of these egg carriers. The 12 egg / dozen eggs carrier is exactly the same, just has double the egg spaces, and we have some 5-star reviews there. It definitely only takes small eggs, so if you're used to buying 700g/800g dozen, you'll have to go smaller. The only real-life experience I can offer is from my folks who use one from home-laid chickens. Cant confirm their egg size though sorry!

Thanks for the reply, Lauren. Someone’s mentioned in the reviews that it can’t even take the small 600g eggs. Any chance you’re able to check/confirm this? If not, I’ve seen the Coghlan brand appears to hold bigger eggs, which may be the safer option. Thank you

I'd love to check for you, but we don't have any eggs on hand! Best I can do is confirm the egg sections are 4cm wide by about 6.5cm tall.
