It's hard to know as we don't sell Rhino, but on the Rhino website, they list them as polycotton canvas with 2000mm waterhead rating. The Darche Eclipse has the same waterhead rating, with 400gsm polycotton canvas. It's hard to compare as Rhino doesn't specify the canvas weight.

The Eclipse Side Awning comes with 2 L brackets and some M8 nuts and bolts, so if you're needing to mount it to a rhino pack pioneer platform you may need some extra bolts, but your best bet will be to have a chat to your local roof rack supplier about mounting options.

The Darche Elipse Side Awning 2.0 just comes with L-brackets, as well as M8 nuts and bolts, so if you're in need of their channel bolt set your best bet will be to order those direct from Darche as they're not a product we stock.

The Eclipse Side Awning 2.0M doesn't come with a LED strip but you could pop one in there. The Companion EPak attaches using velcro tabs or the Korr LED Flex Tape attaches using adhesive tape.

Hi, my RAV 4 has roof rails (running lenght ways along the roof of the vehicle) not roof racks per say. Some awning can secure to roof RAILS. Do you know if this one can mount on to a roof rail or do you definitely need roof racks as well? Many Thanks

The Eclipse Side Awning 2.0M is designed to be mounted directly to a roof rack using the supplied L-brackets. It may be possible to fit the awning direct to your roof rails with the correct brackets, but we'd suggest you discuss this direct with a vehicle accessory fitter or the car manufacturer to determine if it will work.

We've got one of the awnings mounted to the wall in our Adelaide store but I can't get behind it to take a reasonable photo sorry, so I'll do my best to explain.
The brackets you get to mount to your roof racks are these L Mount Brackets. How you mount them will depend on your roof rack type, some are set up for it others will need some alterations done. A roof rack dealer will be able to help explain which type of rack would work best for this. Once the bracket is mounted the rest is pretty self-explanatory, you simply slide the provided bolts into the slots on the awning and bolt it onto the brackets you've just mounted.
I know it's a bit of a hard one to visualise without any images. I've spoken to our web team and we're hoping we can create some video content regarding the Darche awnings that might help, but I'm not sure exactly when we'll get onto it sorry.
