For the trail blazers by day and star-gazers by night - the Dusk To Dawn 1400 CP Swag by Darche is built for blissful outback slumbers beneath the star-speckled skies.
This design features two large entrance points that roll open for a full, unimpeded view of the moonlit landscape. For a steadfast structure, the sturdy composite poles either end offer a fixed, freestanding solution - so you can free-fall into dreaming. Stretch out in your outback hangout atop a high-density foam mattress boasting seven centimetres of height, for cushioned comfort that caters for all bodies and builds. Brave the brutal outback winters with vents at both ends featuring large storm flaps, while a heavy-duty PVC bucket floor provides protection from the sodden ground. The 420gsm proofed rip-stop poly-cotton canvas blankets the full-length superfine mesh, representing a bush-bashing blend of durability and versatility in any weather condition. Plus, zippers inside allow access to the vestibule space above the head.

Hello, I'm watching Snowy's ep58. What is the thermal resistance R value of Darche 70mm swag mattress? Thanks
Jenny - Carindale, QLD (7 months ago)
G'day Jenny,
The Darche Swag mattresses aren't properly tested for an R-value rating, the foam in a swag mat is open cell and constructed quite differently to self-inflating mats of similar thickness. I'd say you're probably looking at around 2 as an absolute guess. You can help raise that by using a yoga mat or something similar underneath, or even folded woollen blankets.

G'day Robert,
We carry a universal swag ridgepole by Oztrail here, however, if you want a Darche specific pole, you can grab them from Darche directly.

Stretcher to suit1 answer
What stretcher would you recommend putting this on? Thanks
Carolina - South Fremantle, WA (1 year ago)
G'day Carolina, You can definately pop a 1400 swag on a stretcher, however, all of the double-width stretchers have a bar running down the centre, so you'll end up with two fairly distinct hollows on either side for each person. If that works for you, then the Oztrail Easy Fold Queen Stretcher and the Kamp-Rite Queen Kwik Cot are good options that will fit the width of this swag.

Replacement mattress1 answer
Do you sell a thicker mattress (probably self inflating) that can remain in the swag when it's rolled up. Interested in a little more comfort. Ack it'll be a bit bulkier.
James - Leichhardt, NSW (2 years ago)
G'day James,
The floorspace area of the swag is 215L x 140W cm, so the majority of these double & queen self-inflating camp mats will work - except for the Kozi Queen & 3D Hexatherm Queen which are too wide. Give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 if you need any further help refining your mattress choice!

Poles1 answer
I was wondering if Darcie now have new tent poles, you can read a lot about these breaking?
Jarryd - Warragul, VIC (2 years ago)
G'day Jarryd,
I'm not 100% sure what you are referring too - do you mean the alloy swag poles on previous models? If so, these CP model Darche swags use composite poles instead of alloy. They've only been around for the last month or so. Check out our video on swag pole comparisons if you'd like more info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHxDLGgQlV0
