How does the all terrain airbed compare?1 answer
I have back problems and struggling to find a comfortable bed, we currently have stretchers and I used a self inflating matt (Darche) on top but still work up in pain, I recently tried a cheap air bed and could hardly walk the next day.
Looking at the new coleman all terrain airbed, is the coil technology more advanced / better than dura sleep? in order of priority - comfort, height and quality.
Hoping you can give some sound advise.
thanks
Adrian.
Adrian - Springfield lakes/ Brisbane(7 years ago)
G'day Adrian,
Firstly, we're so sorry to hear that you've had some trouble with back pain when camping - that's no good at all!
From the info I could find for Coleman, the All-Terrain is created to be a little more rugged than the Durasleep airbeds. The coil construction is designed to be more supportive and therefore a bit more comfortable, and the bonded fabric surface is more durable.
We haven’t tried or seen this airbed for ourselves, so we can’t give you a first-hand comparison on the two, unfortunately. But generally, we find that air beds are slightly less comfortable compared to a high-quality self-inflating foam mat.
We don't want you to wake up with a bad back on your camping holiday, so perhaps physio or medical expert may be better at suggesting a technique to help you get a comfier night's sleep Adrian.

Pump Fittings1 answer
Hi, just wondering what connections are needed say from a 12V 4wd tyre pump?
Merrick - NARRE WARREN EAST(8 years ago)
Hi Merrick,
We recommend using a Coleman Quickpump with the boston valve as this is designed specifically for this use. I would be cautious about using a 4WD tyre pump as these are often too high pressure for items such as this, possibly causing damage and there would be no easily compatible connection.

Maximum weight1 answer
Hi guys, Could you tell me the maximum weight this bed could hold. My wife and i have a combined weight of about 200kg.
Brad - Wyoming(8 years ago)
G'day Brad,Â
The Coleman Dura Sleep range does not come with an official maximum weight rating on the product, however I've had confirmation from the Coleman rep that all of their airbeds have been tested to over 200kg - so it will easily hold two adults with no trouble.

Double Lock Valve1 answer
Hi
Does this airbed have the coleman double lock valve.
The one you push in which stops the air coming out before you put the final bung in.
Jeremy - 3191(8 years ago)
G'day Jeremy,
I've just double checked on the packaging of this bed, and the Dura Sleep Queen Double-High Airbed most definitely has the Coleman double lock valve - so you'll have two sealing points to prevent air leakage on this bed.Â

Coleman Dura Sleep Queen Double-High Airbed vs Aerobed Active Queen1 answer
Just wondering how the two compare regarding comfort and stability? If two adults sleeping on either of these and one rolls over, which bed is more likely not to move and affect the other person? Do they sag in the middle? Do normal size queen sheets fit these? Thanks
Jay - Perth(8 years ago)
Both of these mats are pretty comparable Jay, the main differences being that the DuraSleep comes in a double high option, and the Aerobed features a raised headrest and a built in pump. The Durasleep range is the newest airbed in our range and we have been suitably impressed with their stability, and they are much lighter to handle than other airbeds. They are both made to standard queen bed sizing so fitted sheets will be compatible, but as for comfort for sleeping and sagging in the middle they are pretty much the same based on feedback we have received.

What model1 answer
You call it a dura sleep but is it branded dura rest as per overseas models or it is a different model, thanks
Sonia - BRISBANE CITY, QLD(8 years ago)
G'day Sonia - They're the same air bed, indeed. Cheers, Paul

Does come with a pump?1 answer
There is a great pump shown in the video. Does this come with one of is it a seperate purchase?
Thanks,
Emma
Emma - Kenthurst(9 years ago)
It doesn't come with a pump sorry Emma, and I'm not sure which pump features in the video. We have the Coleman Quickpump range on our website though, which are compatible with these airbeds. You can find them under the 'Airbeds & Mattesses' category.
