G'day Roz,
At risk of sounding like I'm sitting on the fence, I'm not 100% sure one way or the other on this one. It will really depend on the size your son's tent, sleeping bag etc. If you could pack the bag minus the water and measure the space left over, I could probably then work out whether or not the MSR Dromedary 6L Water Storage will fit in the space.

Disgusting taste1 answer
Would appreciate any hints as to how to get the sickeningly strong plastic taste out of these bags. Bought mine a couple of years ago for kayaking trips n keep for emergency only as the taste is horrid. Feel I have wasted my money as I now carry drinkable water in old wine bladders.

G'day Jan,
The typical remedy is to wash the bladder out with some bi-carb and water, but it sounds as though yours may be a little beyond this... Did you buy the bladder from us? I would recommend getting in touch with us, or whoever you bought it from, in regards to this as I would think a taste this unpleasant, that has persisted so long, makes it unfit for purpose. You can call us on 1300 914 007 if necessary.
