As far as we know the Schnozzle isn't currently being brought into Australia. We've previously been advised by Exped Australia that the Downmat 9LW has a built-in pump system, that isn't compatible with the Schnozzle style pumps anyway.

Next to skin surface?1 answer
I was wondering if this mat has a non slip next to skin type fabric top layer. I do not want a mat that is slippery against the sleeping bag. Thanks

G'day Lou,
The Downmat 9LW has a polyester top, however, given the shape of the baffles we don't tend to get reports of people having problems slipping around the mat. If in doubt, you could use a lightweight sheet to cover the mat.

Comparison with the STS Comfort Plus XT1 answer
How does this compare with the STS Comfort Plus XT? I have the Comfort Plus (2.5 R Value), but am looking at something for colder trips.

G'day Steve,
The Exped Downmat 9LW will give you a little more warmth, with an R-value of 8, versus the Comfort Plus XT at 5. Apart from that, they have similar size features and packed size. The Exped is slightly heavier at 1.24kg versus 1.115kg. I would trust the quality of both of these mats, so it would really be down to personal preference in terms of choosing which one.
