Can you please ask the manufacturer or supplier if a protective sleeve or padded bag for this twin cooktop would be available someday? I searched similar carry bags even portable TV sleeves which I find are either too large or too small. In the meantime, I wrap my cooktop with a body towel to help minimize damage and scratches during travel.
G'day Jon,
These are primarily designed as a benchtop cooking option in granny flats, or units, or smaller residential scenarios.
Whilst they're great and portable for camping and caravaning, they wont have a storage bag specifically designed for them.
Unfortunately we dont have anything in our range suitable at this stage!
Will this stove accept my coffee pot with a base of only about 80mm diameter?
G'day Sharyn,
It won't, sorry - the user manual states a minimum pot diameter of 125mm, for both this and the single 2000W cooktop.
What’s the largest diameter pot/pan for this induction cooker?
G'day Tree,
The diameter of the pot ring on the cooktop is 20cm, if you want to have 2 pots side by side, the max diameter will be 24cm before they push each other off.
Hello I have a 2000w inverter. So I’d max out at 2x 1000w if I was using both side simultaneously. What would the max temp be? And would this be enough to boil water with? I have a solid 12v off grid setup. Have previously used a 2000w single induction cooker, which was great, but I dropped/smashed it :( a double might enable me to get rid of the butane cookers and canisters.
G'day Matt,
That's a great question, we don't actually know exactly what temp you'd get as there's a few variables that come into play.
You'd likely still be able to boil water but you'll be chewing through more power because it will take a lot longer, and you should be able to do most of you normal cooking - frying might be out though.
For family camping with kids at caravan parks, would you recommend this twin induction or just the single (which is more powerful)? The single is 2000W whereas this is 2400W combined. Plus it is also (obviously) twice as large.
G'day Kelly,
Personally, I would go with the twin induction for the convenience of having both going at the same time. Especially with a family, it would be quicker when making a meal to have both hotplates going at the same time rather than relying on one pot meals from the single hotplate. Having a kettle going on one side while making pancakes on the other side would be the way to go for my family.
