The Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo is the most popular shelter on the market and, thanks to continual improvement of a product that already performs, is now equipped with Hydro Flow Bars on each corner to further reduce water pooling in your canopy.
The 3 x 3-metre canopy made from UVTex® 300 Denier Polyester provides shelter as you barrack for your favourite team on the sideline. The heavy-duty strut system in the canopy eliminates buckling in the wind, and the triple-layer reinforcing points on the corners will help to prevent wear and tear.
The externally bound roof line seams help improve tension in the canopy, while the large vents in the roof will assist with dissipating a breeze. Carting around this gazebo is easy, as it comes with a heavy-duty wheeled carry bag for transport and storage.
Easily one of our most popular and well-loved gazebos, the OZtrail Deluxe 3.0 in the classic Navy Blue is the simple choice for a day at the beach, a camping trip, or a market stall.
What's the difference between this and the "oztrail 3m hydroflow" at Bunnings? Their canopy looks a different colour but all the specs seem identical?
G'day Chris,
We're not 100% sure sorry - Oztrail do have an exclusive product line with Bunnings, but we dont have access to the specs differences, if there are any.
Oztrail would be the best point of contact for this question, they'll be able to give you more info of the exclusive models.
Is it possible to waterproof this model of gazebo with Oztrail waterproofing compound? If so, would you have to do the inside as well as the outside?
G'day Misha,
While OZtrail gazebos are manufactured using water-repellent fabrics, most waterproofing products are made to revive an already existing waterproofing coating which these gazeboes don't have. The OZtrail Aqua Proof Waterproofer is only suitable for canvas products so it wouldn't be suitable for the Polyester Canopy.
The best option would be to use some Seam Grip Seam Sealant to seal the seams then use a spray-on waterproofer like the Atsko Silicone Water Guard or other silicone spray to spray both sides of the canopy.
It's not recommended to have these out in heavy prolonged rain, but this extra coating will help repel the water from the fabric. It may be worth repeating the process now and then to keep the fabric water-repellent.
Hello Is it possible to say what wind speeds the gazebo can withstand, using the stock pegs and ropes and assuming ideal ground?
G'day Katherine,
OZtrail has tested these in the wind up to 60 km/hr. It is recommended to take these down if it gets windy or bad weather.
OZtrail also have a blog about How To Prolong The Life Of Your Gazebo which gives some tips!
What size/dimensions are the feet?
G'day Maddie,
The Gazebo feet are a triangle shape, from the top point to the bottom of the foot is 9cm and from the bottom corner to corner is 9.5cm.
Hi guys. Just wondering if the new gazebo has holes in the feet for pegs to go though? Our current one has big holes for tent pegs, which we always use, along with the guy ropes. This new one doesn't look like it has the holes in the feet. Could you please clarify? Thanks.
G'day Sharon,
Yep, it does! If you have an existing oztrail gazebo the frame and feet will be the same, the only difference with this model is the extra yellow tension bars in the roof corners.
Hope that helps!
Thanks for the reply. Glad to see it still has the same feet 👌
Hi Team Is the packed dimensions, the boxed dimension or the dimensions of the bag and canopy?
G'day Chris,
The packed dimensions are the product packed up when not in use. These are different to the freight dimensions.
Hope that helps!
How deep is the flap coming down from the frame?
G'day Vee,
Assuming you're meaning the canopy edge around the frame? In that case, it's approximately 29cm.
Hope that helps!
What brand has a gazebo where the cover, and sides, can be left on when packing/ folding up? Also zipper what would their water rating be please? Cheers, r
I'm not aware of any gazebo's for which we would recomend leaving the canopy attached. You can fold these up as such but it may damage the fabric. As for waterproof ratings on zippers, the zippers used on gazebo's and their accessories are not of the waterproof type, so they are a point at which water can leak through.
Does it come with a carry bag?
It does, Simon, we really need to get an image on our website of the bag. It looks like this one, although the colour might differ - https://www.snowys.com.au/carry-bag-deluxe-gazebo. ~ Ben
Hello, just wondering if the 2022 modles come with straps to hold canopy to frame without the guy ropes needing to be pegged out. The picture on display shows that are included, but some of the feedback on here indicates it does not. Thanks
G'day Marlene,
Great question! All the indications are that the 2022 models don't have the straps to hold the canopy to the frame. Our store team has not seen the 2022 models yet but the 2022 canopies we have in stock do not have these straps.
Having said all that, you need to guy rope gazebos down anyway. There really is no other way to keep a gazebo from becoming an expensive, heavy, and dangerous kite - even in light winds.
Hi is it OK to cook under or would it damage the roof?
G'day Matthew,
As long as you have good air flow and ventilation you'll be fine!
Hi Snowys, I was going to buy this gazebo, but it like this is no longer waterproof, refer to the recent review. Can you please recommend any gazebo in similar size/price with waterproof feature? Thanks!
G'day Hayley,
The Zempire Aerobase range is the only shelter/gazebo that we stock that comes with any waterproof testing or waterhead rating.
Unfortunately these are a different design, and not similar to the Oztrail style gazebos.
hi snowys, what's a good ground mat suitable for this gazebo? From a size point and also taking into consideration having it on the beach.
G'day Jeremy,
The Ultramesh Tarp in the 3.05m2 size will be your best bet.
G'day, are you able to confirm where the Delux 3.0 gazebo is manufactured?
G'day Arthur,
Oztrails manufacturing is based overseas, primarily out of China.
Hi there, how well do hex pegs fit in the holes at the base of the frame? I understand they require a 10mm diameter.
G'day Andrew,
Hex pegs are a common option for use with the gazebos, especially with stallholders as they will drill into hard/compact ground common in car parks and marketplaces.
Will the screen room attachment for with the hydro flow bars?
G'day Troy,
Yes, the Screen Inner Kit can be used with the Deluxe Gazebos with Hydro Flow bars.
we have a 3x3m gazebo that when we last used it found on of the screws holding in the cross bar (in the corner) was missing - it wasn't in the bag - it may have dropped out when we took it out of the bag but couldn't find it in the grass. would love to buy some replacement screws.
G'day Melissa,
We don't currently have any screws in stock, however Oztrail does list them directly on their website in the spare parts section, so you should be able to grab some there: https://www.oztrail.com.au/collections/spare-parts
I've noticed some of the hydro-flow Oztrail gazebos have many complaints about a design fault, with missing Velcro straps to attach the cover to the frame. Does this version being sold now (Dec 2020) via this link have that problem? Thank you!
G'day Jacqui,
The current model Hydro Flow Gazebos don't have a central hook and velcro attachment to the frame. This was changed last year, and as far as we understand Oztrail don't have plans to go back to the older version.
Hi, Can you attach this gazebo to a coleman instant 4p gold tent for extra shade and cover?
G'day Naz,
There are no direct attachment mechanisms, however, you could use the eyelet holes on the Coleman Tent awning to tie the awning to the gazebo frame and connect the two items together so you have coverage moving between them.
Hi, Just curious as to whether these can be set up without the guy ropes attached. For example, at a Market Stall where the use of ropes could be dangerous/a trip hazard. Thankyou
G'day Kelly,
Oztrail does specify that the guy ropes do need to be secured to ensure that there is good tension on the canopy, and to reduce the risk of the wind catching the Gazebo. We'd recommend pitching the guy ropes with a shallower angle, and attaching some visually obvious ribbon or similar to the guy ropes if you're worried about creating a trip hazard.
Is there velcro on the inside for the tent to attach to the gazebo? Ive got the Instant Up 4p Tent (love it) but trying to find the best gazebo for a shelter that is also price-friendly.
G'day Alanda,
Thanks for getting in touch, there isn't specifically a way to attach an instant up tent to a gazebo however you can make it work with a bit of suggestion. The Coleman Deluxe Gazebo 3 x 3 has a compatible velcro strip that will attach to your tent velcro.
Hello, I spotted on the Oztrail Fiesta it specifically mentions a high percentage of UV light being blocked out by the canopy. Does this also apply in the delux model??
G'day Lilian,
The canopy is made from a 300 denier UVTex fabric that will block out 98% of UV radiation.
The 3 x 3 Hydro Oztrail gazebo.
G'day Louise,
Unfortunately not, the Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo with Hydro Flow is only available in the Blue colour pictured.
Got 2 new the other day with hydroflo but both don’t have the webbing straps that hold the canopy down in the middle to the frame. Has the new model not got them?
G'day Ben,
Oztrail has not included these webbing straps on the new gazebos. Their reasoning is that the guy ropes will perform the same function as the straps by holding down the canopy to the frame!
Does this mean that if you are unable to use the guy ropes (such as at markets where they forbid pegging) there is nothing to hold the canopy onto the frame??!
Hi Mina,
Yes, this is correct, the guy ropes must be secured properly to ensure the canopy remains in place safely. At markets etc we'd recommend using sandbag kits or weights to secure the guy ropes in place.
The Oztrail walls are unfortunately too short with only a height of approximately 2m. Do you sell other brand walls that would suit this Oztrail gazebo? Thanks!
G'day Eileen,
The other branded walls have different ways of attaching to the gazebo so we wouldn't recommend using them with the 3.0 Deluxe Gazebo with Hydroflow. The Oztrail 3m Solid walss are designed to be used with the Deluxe gazebo range and are designed to fit best on the low and middle height setting.
I need a new canopy for the deluxe 3.0 gazebo
G'day Greg,
We do sell replacement canopies for the Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo, you can find them here.
Have broken cross bars
G'day Josef,
We do sell spare parts for the Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo. Based on your description it sounds like you'll need the Scissor Action Strut Kit.
are the vents able to be opened? is it a flap like a tent window ?
G'day Karline,
The large roof vents improve heat and wind dissipation but they are integrated into the canopy and cannot be opened for extra air flow.
Does this model have the anti-ponding bars at the corners of the frame?
G'day Andrew,
I'm sorry to say the Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo does not come with the anti ponding bars. Only the Hydroflow gazebo frames come with integrated anti ponding technology.
Hi Snowy team. Doesn't the above feature do the same thing? "Hydro-Flow Anti Ponding Bars for excellent water shedding" Thanks!
Sorry for the confusion Andrew, at the time Gen answered this question we didn't have the model with Hyrdo Flow yet. When we received the new stock with the Hydro Flow frames the listing was updated.
I can confirm that the Hydro Flow model has anti-ponding bars built into the frame.
Could one person easily put this up alone?
G'day
One person will be able to set up the Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo, it will obviously take a little longer than two people, but I've done it by myself on a few occasions.
Might be a silly question, but if you have four walls (I’m thinking of getting three mesh and one solid) how do you get in and out? Do you just use the zips that attach the walls to each other? Thanks :)
There's no such thing as a silly question as far as we are concerned, Helen. If you use four solid walls on your gazebo you will need to access the inside via the corners which would be fiddly. Ideally, you would want one of your walls to have a central zipper like this one - https://www.snowys.com.au/deluxe-3m-centre-zip-solid-wall, that way you've got easy access in and out of your enclosed gazebo.
Water damage
G'day Samantha,
I'm not sure if water damage is covered by
How long does this take to set up?
G'day Danielle,
The Oztrail Deluxe
what size are the vents and how effective are they in minimising uplift of the gazebo from the wind? Friends of our have a gazebo without roof vents and are forever wrestling with their gazebo in the lightest of wind.
G'day Marty,
From the underside the vents in the Oztrail Deluxe 3m Gazebo measure around 30cms across. Gazebos are notorious for lifting up like this in the wind due to their 'parachute' shape. I personally wouldn't rely on the vents to significantly reduce the amount of lift created in the wind. Your best bet is to have the gazebo securely pegged out and use all the included guy ropes. If you can't peg it out the Oztrail Base Pod Kit is your next best option. But if the wind picks up too much the only really safe option is to quickly pull the canopy off altogether.
Hi, what is the best gazebo colour to keep the heat/sun out? Also, what does the denier mean? I see the commercial gazebo has higher denier but unsure what this is. If you need to put the gazebo halfway down for heavy rain/wind, do you have to take the portico down each time? Cheers, Ash
G'day Ash,
All the Deluxe Gazebo canopies have a silver coloured coating on the underside that is designed to reflect a bit of heat away so I don't think the colour will make a huge difference. If I was going to make an educated guess I'd go with a lighter colour like the yellow.
Denier refers to the weight of the individual fibers in a fabric. Generally, the higher the number the more abrasion resistant a fabric, and the lower the number the softer the 'hand' or feel of the fabric will be.
I've not used the porticos myself and we don't currently have a demo model but I've always assumed that if you're dropping the height of the canopy lower than the 193cm height of the portico you'll need to drop the portico as well as they're not designed as a stand-alone item.
Hi, What is the colour of the underside of the cover?
G'day Jack,
The Oztrail Deluxe Gazebos have a light silver coloured coating on the inside.
Notice your Package Deal has Base Pod Kit included, however elsewhere I saw that they can't be used with solid or mesh sidewalls. Is that correct? If so, not much use in the package, or perhaps you need to point this out?
G'day David,
The base pod kits can be used with the walls, just not perfectly. You'll need to leave the lower loop on the walls unattached, so there might be a bit of flapping around. It's not perfect but it will work if you need it to. The kit is just meant to be a good starting point for customers getting a gazebo that might have a variety of needs for it. The sandbags might be a better option here and I'll pass that idea onto our web team. Thanks for pointing this out!
Hi, what is the height from the lowest part of the canopy to the ground when erected?
G'day Vicki,
When at the lowest setting, the bottom of the canopy on the Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo is 193cm from the ground.
If I buy this gazebo what solid sides do I buy to go with it
G'day Lorna,
If you click on the 'You might also like' tab below the image of the Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo it will show you all of the compatible walls and accessories available to purchase.
How many pegs come with included with the Ozrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo?
G'day Ben,
We've just double checked with the stock we have on the shop floor, and the Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo comes with 8 pegs included.
Hi Snowy's, just wondering if you know how well this Gazebo will hold ups in wet weather? Is it waterproof? Thanks :)
G'day Jackie,
Your Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo will hold up relatively well in the rain as it's seem sealed. You shouldn't expect to have any water leaking through the canopy itself.
what is the price of a replacement canopy?
G'day Jo,
You can find the replacement canopies for the Oztrail Deluxe 3.09 Gazeboes here.
What is the waranty period on this please
G'day Peter,
The Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo comes with a 12 month warranty.
Does this canopy come attached to frame for instant fold up and down?
G'day Carly,
Yes, you can pack the Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo down with the canopy still on, although we wouldn't necessarily recommend it. Packing it down with the canopy still on will reduce the lifetime of the gazebo.
Would like to know dimensions when packed in carry bag.
G'day Dana,
Packed dimensions for the Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo are 160L x 30W x 30H cm.
Just wondering what are the dimensions when it is all packed up and put in its carry bag? Want to know if it will fit in back of ute?
G'day Bob,
Packed dimensions for the Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo are 160L x 30W x 30H cm.
I notice the weight is 25kg, similar to the heavy duty one but much heavier than the previous version which was 18kg roughly.
G'day Charles,
The Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo weighs 23kg and the Oztrail Commerical 3.0 Gazebo weights 24.5kg. The framework for both is the same, the difference is the strength of the canopy and that the Commerical Gazebo is tested and certified by Australian engineers to meet the Building Code of Australia for temporary structures. Our apologies for the error - we'll look to correct the weight listings on our website.
Oztrail deluxe3.0 gazebo
G'day Peter,
Oz Trail don't actually give a wind rating for thier gazebos. We'd suggest only using your gazebo in a light breeze as they do tend to catch the wind. Even then you might want to consider the Oz Trail Base Pod Kit for extra security.
I need 2 pieces the beam from centre to the corners. used my gazebo only once and they broke. need two of those . and price .
G'day Nory,
I'm pretty sure from your description that this is what you're after, if not let us know and we'll look into it further for you - https://www.snowys.com.au/scissor-action-strut-kit
Just wondering if guy ropes can be attached to this gazebo, or if the pegs provided are enough to keep it in place if there is a bit of wind?
G'day Edan,
The Oztrail Deluxe 3.0 Gazebo does come with 4 guy ropes, 1 attached to each corner. I'd always recommend using the guys if you can as you never know when the wind will pick up!
