Now you can take an insulated mug on your lightweight adventures with the Sea to Summit Delta Light Insul mug. Weighing in at well under 100 grams, this clever little sipper mug is made from lightweight glass reinforced polypropylene and features a removable insulated sleeve to keep your fingers cool.
The Insul Mug has been designed with fluted ribbed walls what increase insulation when used with the sleeve, and aid grip when used without.
The silicone lid features a sipping port and can be folded along with the insulating sleeve inside the mug for transport or nesting with other mugs. The STS Delta Light Insul Mug is the perfect solution for lightweight adventurers who don't like their coffee to go cold.
Hi, I need 4. But wonder can 2 be stacked together, or do they need the insulation removed. If removed, is it possible to stuff 2 insulators into 1 cup with a lid, and hold it all in there with the other lid. Do they seem robust enough for repeated use if the insulator has to be removed.

G'day Jason,
Yes, the Delta Light Insul Mugs are stackable, you can stack them with or without the insulated cover on them. You can fit three lids inside one cup, and secure another lid in place, so two insulators and a lid will fit with no worries. They are pretty robust, I use mine fairly regularly, and have had them since 2018, and they're not really showing any signs of wear yet.

Coffee filter fit1 answer
Lost my much loved MSR mug mate coffee filter (together with my titanium cup and tool spoon)! Will this cup/mug be the right size for a new MSR mug mate filter? Looks like a perfect fit, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

G'day Ian,
Yes, your beloved Mugmate will fit with this mug like a glove! The other really popular option is the X-Brew, but if you've already got a Mugmate I'd stick with that!

The Sea to Summit Delta Light Insul Mug is definitely BPA free and made with polypropylene glass composite. These mugs are designed with the insulating sleeve for the purpose to drink hot liquids and will protect your hand from the heat.

robustness?1 answer
The reinforced glass in the description rang teeny little alarm bells for me. How robust are these mugs? Will they stand up to use and abuse and banging around inside a full pack? I ask as I would cry if I broke my only coffee sipping vessel out on the trail.

G'day JC,
One of my colleagues has done some research on the material used for the Sea to Summit Delta Light Insulated Mug for you. I'll copy and paste what he found for you - It's glass impregnated, similar to fibreglass. In its fine state, the glass fibres are quite flexible, when matted together they provide strength, combined with nylon gives it some flexibility. If they plan on standing on it to pick apples from a tree, it will probably break, if it's in a pack, they will have to work very hard to break it.
