Off-road Durability1 answer
Hi team, interested to understand the off-road Durability of this fridge. We're looking for a fridge for our off-road rig that will be doing thousands of kilometres of corrugations. Interested in your thoughts. Cheers
Benjamin - Red Hill, QLD(3 years ago)
G'day Benjamin,
Our only real thoughts would be the suspension of your vehicle, if you've got coils you'll be fine, but might run into strife with leaf sprung. I've reached out to Bushmans to see if they had any additional thoughts or feedback, and got the following:
We sell so many of these types of fridges to canopies, 4wds, camping adventurers- the fridges seem to cope really well. He could put it in a fridge box or just make sure it is secured well, some people use the metal strip down the side to create an L bracket. If its super bumpy it may just put pressure on the door hinges but it ought to be ok, It has rubber feet but you could put some rubber foam underneath.
Hope that helps!

Portability1 answer
Hi Can this fridge be used in a ute canopy?
Debbie - Sydney, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day Debbie,
Whilst these fridges are primarily designed for caravans, they are increasingly popular to use in ute canopies. You'd need to ensure you have a way to adequately secure the fridge, preferably with the aluminium fridge box, and if your vehicle is leaf sprung, you may need to consider a rubber mat or something to help deaden any vibrations when offroading.

Stand alone1 answer
Is the fridge suitable for a cabin without being fitted into a recess or bench. Can it be used as a stand alone fridge?
Clare - Armidale East, NSW(4 years ago)
G'day Clare,
The DC130-X is designed to be mounted into a recess/cabinet/bench. You could use it as a stand-alone fridge as long as the space is level with adequate ventilation. One thing to note is it is a 12/24V fridge, so if your cabin isn't portable it will likely be powered by 240V, and in that case, a bar fridge will most likely be a more suitable option.

Mounting Points1 answer
Hi does the fridge come with mounting points, or bracket, or cleats for vehicle fixing?
Jason - 2062(4 years ago)
G'day Jason,
Yes the DC130-X are supplied with a mounting kit designed to fit into a cavity 530W x 550D x 755Hmm. The final image is a schematic diagram that shows where the mounting kit sits around the fridge unit.

Replacement for Electrolux RM2310?1 answer
Hi can this be used to replace an Electrolux RM2310 in a camper trailer?
Zollie - Karnup (4 years ago)
G'day Zollie,
I'm not familiar with the Electrolux RM2310 and I haven't been able to find any reference to them online, so it's hard to say. The DC130-X is a good option if you're after an upright 12V fridge.

Height1 answer
I have 740mm High to play with. Fridge stating it’s 750mm High. Would it happen to have little legs or somewhat that can be removed to achieve this ?
Mick - Lawnton(5 years ago)
G'day Mick,
The DC130-X is a special order product, so we don't physically hold stock for me to check. The schematic diagram indicates that the height is 750mm so unfortunately, we don't quite think it will fit.

Wiring to battery1 answer
How is the fridge wired to the caravan house battery
Paul - Birregurra(5 years ago)
G'day Paul,
As we're not trained professionals, we're probably not best equipped to speak directly on installation, but there is a lot of helpful detail on wiring on the second page of the user manual of this unit which you can read here. Sorry we couldn't be of more help Paul.

240v adaptor cord1 answer
Does this 130L Bushman fridge come with a 240v adaptor cord in a package or is this sold separately? Thanks.
Wendy - Naracoorte(5 years ago)
G'day Wendy,
The DC-130X is just designed to run from 12V/24V, if you're wanting to run in from 240V you'd need to have a transformer wired into the system.
