Camelbak are kind of known for their industry leading reservoirs, so it’s hard to believe that they were able to improve on them, that is until the Crux™ 1.5L reservoir came along.
With a larger access port, you can top up your water supply much quicker and easier. This reservoir is also going to deliver 20% more water per sip, so you can hydrate faster with less effort on your part. You can close off the drinking tube with one hand when you’re mid-action, and the bite valve is self-sealing so you won’t get any leaks or drips mid-run, hike or ride. With the addition of baffles, your reservoir will keep a low profile in your pack and won’t slosh around as much when you’re in action.
The reservoir and tube are made using antimicrobial technology which will assist with inhibiting bacteria growth, so you can keep your water supply fresher and cleaner for all your active pursuits. When it comes to hydration, Camelbak really know their stuff, so you can rely on the Crux™ to perform at the critical moment.

What are the hard plastic pieces around the reservoir opening best used for?1 answer
I’m new to Camelbak and didn’t find any info on the function of these plastic pieces on/in the packaging of the reservoir when it arrived.

G'day Emily,
The small "anchor" shape at the top of the opening on your Camelbak Crux 1.5 Hydration Reservoir is designed to connect to the tether on the top of the inside of your pack to help hold it in place. The large section at the bottom slides over the pouch that your reservoir goes into to help it stay in place as well. I hope that explains it well enough. Any doubts, feel free to give us a buzz on 1300 914 007 and we can help you out over the phone.

can this be attached to the back of a racecar seat?1 answer
Looking at using this when car racing but need to attach to car seat. Or do you suggest the other shape with clips on the side?
Karin - Rydalmere(7 years ago)
G'day Karin,
I've had a bit of a look at the Camelbak Crux 1.5L Hydration Reservoir and I reckon you should be able to hang it on the back of the seat in your racing car without too many issues. There are some clips on top of the reservoir that you could use as well as the handle on the opening that you could use to fasten the reservoir into place on the back of your seat.
