Bald Hills 4036
G'day Robyn,
Unfortunately, it won't make it to Brisbane by Tuesday. The courier would require 3-4 business days to 4036.
Can we use this on a bayonnet fitting on a camper
G'day Letecia,
I've just double checked this for you with the display model and unfortunately, you can't use the Gasmate Cruiser BBQ with a bayonet fitting nor can you use an adapter on this unit.
We don't have anything similar which will work for your set up, so your best bet would be to look for a compatible BBQ at your local caravan centre.
Hi, does this BBQ require assembly prior to use & does it fold up after use for easy storage during travelling?
G’day Chris,
I’ve just had a look into this, and it seems that the Gasmate Cruiser BBQ does involve some assembly, and it also does fold up for transport. You can have a squiz at the set up instructions for this BBQ here, which will give you the details on how this unit comes together and what it looks like folded up into the transport position.
And does it connect to a caravan gas outlet.
G'day Annette,
Yes the bbq plate is removable for cleaning but no the connection is to a POL gas fitting. As this is a regulated unit it is not advisable to use an adaptor to bayonet. Unfortunately none of our stoves are compatible with caravan fittings so perhaps a caravan speciality store might be more help.
Hi, is it possible to boil water in a saucepan on this hotplate? Just looking at an alternative to the traditional camp stove.
Hi Chris,
Yes, generally anything that has a heating element can be used to boil water however it may not be as efficient as a traditional camp stove so I guess it depends on how much gas you are able to afford.
ohh.... one more things ... and does the hood have a thermostat for roasting ?
Howdy Peter,
The Cruiser doesn't feature a thermostat on the hood, however the Voyager version actually does. You can see the voyager on this link here. Cheers!
Hi there is there a mounting kit available to mount the BBQ from a fishing rod holder on a boat? Thanks Peter
Howdy Peter,
Not that we are aware of. You would of course need to be very careful if you are using a flame on a boat as fumes from a nearby fuel tank could ignite the tank and cause serious injury.
Can I buy a replacement adjustable regulator. If so where from.
G'day Gary,
I've just spoken to Gasmate on the phone, and they've said that the regulator and control knob is available as a spare part, but there might be a bit of a wait as the supplier is out of stock.
If you could give us a call on 1300 914 007, then we can get some more details from you and organise to get one in for you.
Hi just wondering is this the Gasmate Cruiser 2 model. And would you recommend this as good option for camping all rounder. Thanks
G'day Tracey,Â
I have just spoken with Gasmate, and they have told me that the Cruiser, and the Cruiser II BBQ are in fact the same exact model.
The Cruiser BBQ is a fantastic cheaper alternative to a Weber, and you'lll be able to cook all kinds of meals at the campsite, or in your own backyard - so I would say that it is definitely a good all rounder.Â
original cruiser was riveted , cruiser2 is screwed and has less sharp edges when cleaning.
Just have two kids and two adults
G'day Leticia,Â
I've just measured the cooking plate of the Gasmate Cruiser BBQ, and it measures 44cm long, and 31cm wide so you can fit quite a bit of food on there, plus it has a rack on top for veggies. I personally think that you would be fine for four people, but it is going to depend on how much you eat.Â
If you have a look at the second image linked on the product page, you can kind of get an idea of how much you can put on there if that helps.Â
Just wondering what material the plate is?
G'day Mark,
I've just had a look at the Gasmate Cruiser BBQ, and I've found that the plate is made from Aluminium with a non-stick coating.Â
Hi Kim, unfortunately we haven't had the chance to try either of these but I can see no reason why it wouldn't work! You'll just need to take out the wire rack to be able to use it with the lid closed. If you decide to give it a try, we'd love it if you'd give us a review so we know how well it goes!
i have the exact BBQ and all i can say is it cooks a nice pizza.
Hi Donna, yes the burner is an oval shape to provide the most even spread of heat possible.
How does the gas burner pipe work? It looks like the pipe is open to the air, is that normal?
