Staff tip:This swag comes in a tightly compressed manner, it's easier to store and transport that way. Before use, we recommend leaving the swag unrolled for a few days to allow the mattress to expand to its full potential.
Staff tip:It's best practise to season your swag a few times, even if it comes seam sealed, pre−seasoned, or waterproofed. For more info, check out our blog post below.
Hi, just wondering if you can confirm that there is only one side zip. Has there been any feedback about this and how it works for two people?
Alison - Coffs Harbour, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day Alison,
Yes, the Oztrail Cooper Expedition Swag now only has one zipper, this change was made earlier in the year. We've not had a lot of feedback on two people using these, as at 120cm wide, they're quite narrow compared to most other double models. If you were using this as a stand-alone swag with no other shelter, it might not be the best option for you.

Is this swag freestanding?1 answer
When fully set up does it require some rope tied to the ground? Or is it freestanding?
Max - 5700(4 years ago)
G'day Max,
The Cooper Expedition Double Swag is your standard style flat roll swag, the boxed sidewall shape is designed to show that there is some depth in the canvas gusset for you to fit and sleep in there. The head flap can be roped to a tree/pole or similar, but the swag has no poles, so the canvas won't be held off your face unless you tie the head flap up.

Height of the "toe" box1 answer
Hi, what is the height of the walls ? just wanting to consider a thicker mattress and was wandering how much height would be left for my feet if sleeping on my back. Thanks.
Anthony Ford - TOORLOO ARM, VIC(4 years ago)
G'day Anthony,
The depth of the swag is 32cm in total, so with the 5cm mattress, you've got 27cm of head and footbox space.

Can this be fully unzipped 1 answer
Hi, I was wondering if this be fully unzipped down both sides. Wish to use as atraditinal swag is. As a bed roll not interested in it as a semi tent.
Sean - Shailer Park, QLD(8 years ago)
G'day Sean,
Yes the Oztrail Double Cooper Swag has full length zips on each side.
*UPDATE 2021* Oztrail have advised that the new model now only has a zip down one side.

Straps1 answer
Hi, I was wondering about the straps to hold this swag rolled up. Are they clips or double D rings? Are the straps sewn to the swag? Thank you.
Elle - 4818(8 years ago)
G’day Elle,
I’ve just had a look at the display, and the straps have double D rings, and are sewn on to the swag.
