If the Deluxe 3x3 Gazebo is too large and heavy, then the Deluxe Compact 2.4 x 2.4M is the perfect option for you as you get the benefits of the strong deluxe frame with a smaller packed size. The Deluxe Compact Gazebo is the ideal shelter for camp kitchens, markets, sporting events, picnics and even backyard barbeques as it packs away into a compact carry bag that easily fits into the boot of most standard vehicles.
The Deluxe frame has cross supports through the roof and a centre pole to the peak. This gives it added strength and support over the Standard Gazebo range. The waterproof UVTex 300D polyester canopy will provide fantastic protection from the sun and rain and all stitching is seam sealed from the underside to create a waterproof seal.
You will have this model setup in no time as you don’t need to assemble this gazebo - simply pull the frame outwards, place the canopy over the top and lock the frame into place!
Wanting to ensure sealed floor and walls. The commercial version sounds more waterproof than the non.
G'day Liz,
Yes, the Gazebo 2.4 Inner Kit will work with the Oztrail Deluxe 2.4m Gazebo and the Deluxe Commercial 2.4 Gazebo. The Inner Kit is a fully enclosed so will keep out insects etc and provide privacy. The Inner Kit itself is made from a polyester material that isn't listed as waterproof, so just be aware of this if you're planning to use the inner tent when it is raining.
Hi Whats the difference between the deluxe oztrail vs the king's brand heavy duty, which is 420D Oxford polyester with a protective polyurethane coating & UPF 50 shade cover
G'day Kelvin,
Unfortunately we don't really have a way of knowing as the Kings brand gazebos are a home brand of another retailer.OPften the cheaper home brand frames are slightly thinner, but unfortunately, I have no way of varying this for you. I can, however, vouch for the Oztrail Deluxe being of great quality.
Hi, I have plans to take this with me travelling around Australia. Sometimes I will have travelling companions, at others, I won't. Can this be setup with 1 person only?
G'day Michele,
Yes, the Deluxe 2.4 Gazebo can be put up by one person, it takes a little bit to walk around to each corner and slowly pull out each corner a little each time, but it's definitely very achievable.
What’s the total amount of weight I can hang from the roof of these gazebos please?
G'day Mel,
Oztrail does not specify a maximum weight that can be hung from these gazebos as they're not manufactured to hang items from. The structure is strong but I would recommend exercising caution when hanging any object from the roof.
How does it compare to the coleman deluxe gazebo? which one would be better for shade and rain protection for a camping trip to windy beach?
G'day Alzina,
When it comes to rain protection and shade, the Oztrail Deluxe 2.4 Gazebo and the Coleman Deluxe Gazebo are very similar. The Oztrail one is far more popular, so that is probably a bit of a sign of the quality of the Oztrail.
How long does it take to set up?
G'day Alzina,
If you're setting up an Oztrail Deluxe 2.4 Gazebo on your own, I'd suggest that it would probably take 5-10 minutes. If you've got a friend helping, then I'd say that you should definitely get it done in about 5 minutes.
What are dimensions when packed away
G'day Paula,
Does the Deluxe 2.4 gazebo have roof vents?
G'day Dave,
I've just double checked the Oztrail Deluxe 2.4 Gazebo for you and can confirm that it does come with a couple of roof vents.
What's the difference between this gazebo and the fiesta gazebo of the same size ?
G'day Sarah,
The main difference between the Oztrail Deluxe 2.4 Gazebo and the Fiesta is the frame. The Fiesta's frame is smaller and lighter, which makes it easier to carry around and transport but does make it slightly weaker when facing heavy winds.
Hi, What's the difference between this one and the fiesta gazebo in the same size ? Also, which one do you recommend to fit in the boot of a medium SUV as I think the 3.0 is too large. Thanks
G'day Sarah,
The Oztrail Deluxe Gazebo has a thicker and sturdier frame than the Fiesta Gazebo, if you're planning on using it a whole heap, then it might be worth the investment for peace of mind. As for fitting in the boot, the Fiesta does pack down a fair bit smaller, which might make it easier to cart around.
Hi, does this have 3 height Settings - 175 / 190 / 205 cm? Thanks
G'day Edge,
You're 100% right, the Oztrail Deluxe 2.4 Gazebo has 3 height settings at 175cm, 190cm & 205cm.
If wind was the main factor, which of the 2.4m gazebos is recommended?
G'day Ella,
The Oztrail Deluxe 2.4 Gazebo doesn't come with a specific wind rating, no. Other brands have wind tested theirs up to 100km/h but these testing is done in a wind tunnel and not in a "real life" scenario, so it's a little hard to know exactly what sort of winds they'll stand up to. Whilst no gazebo will be totally windproof, the best I can suggest in a 2.4m is the Oztrail Deluxe Commercial 2.4 Gazebo.
I have a Volkswagen Polo and wanted to be sure it could fit in the back (with the seats down). Thanks!
G'day Stacey,
Packed dimensions for the Oztrail Deluxe 2.4 Gazebo are 135L x 27W x 22H cm
Just wondering if the 2 x 4 Deluxe Gazebo have the Velcro on them so you can attach walls to it
G'day Betty,
The Oztrail Deluxe 2.4 Gazebos have two velcro patches on each side on the inside of the canopy to suit the Oztrail 2.4 wall options.
Hi, I'm clumsy around guy ropes. Can metal tent pegs be used to secure the pole footings instead? Cheers, Michael
G'day Michael,
That's quite understandable, in mild conditions it may be alright to do without guy ropes, but if it's windy the top of the gazebo will become quite unstable so we generally recommend that you always use them.
If it's going to be a windy day, you may have to guy the gazebo out (perhaps some coloured ones would help with visibility like these ones here) and just keep your eyes peeled.
Does this compact deluxe unit have a wheeled carrier like its 3mt counterpart? Would you reccomend it over the Coleman range? Are the anchoring pegs that come with these gazebos designed for sand and soil?
Hi Naomi,
The Compact Deluxe Gazebo does come with a wheeled carry bag so you'll be able to transport it easily! In terms of the quality, the Oztrail and Coleman Deluxe Gazebos are on par with each other, but Coleman don't do a compact gazebo so if you want this size then the Oztrail is the only one we have.Â
One description states 300D, the other 150d. Is the canopy different quality to the standard?
G'day Anne,Â
I'm so sorry about the confusion with the canopy of the Compact Deluxe Gazebo, I've double checked with the information provided by Oztrail and this model definitely has a 300 denier canopy. I've fixed up the product description so that should reflect the correct details now.
As for the quality of the fabric, a lower denier does not necessarily mean that the fabric isn't as good, it just means that it will be denser, and so more hard wearing.
are the solid walls attached by a full strip of velcro or just a few tabs of velcro
G’day Bill, the Oztrail Compact Deluxe Gazebo’s canopy is made from polyester that is seamed sealed on the underside which prevents water coming in through the canopy. I’ve had a look at the display model, and it appears that the canopy has two large patches of Velcro on each side of the canopy to attach side walls.
Can you get a screen house for this gazebo (similar to the 3x3 one available)?
