A long commute isn’t exactly the most motivating start to your morning. But with a hot and freshly brewed coffee or tea thanks to the GSI Outdoors Commuter Java Press by your side, you can get pumped for the rest of your day.
This convenient on the go coffee press doesn’t have a plunger rod, instead, it has a sliding inner carafe for pressing your coffee. This also has the benefits of double-wall insulation, which will keep your drink nice and hot.
The non-slip foot will keep the cup upright while fitting into most car cup holders, while the spill-resistant top and sealable lid prevents heat loss and your precious brew from escaping. The foam sleeve provides a secure grip for your mitts and protects them from the hot contents of the press.
If you’re always madly dashing to your car, bus or train to make it in time for your morning commute, then that long ride will be made better with a brew made in the Commuter Java Press from GSI Outdoors.

Does it seal somehow once the caraf has been plunged?1 answer
I've read that they leak but people often misuse things like this so just want to confirm there is some kind of thread or similar to keep the 2 halves together. Thanks

G'day Oscar,
Unfortunately, these aren't completely leak-proof, something I found out the hard way when I first bought mine!

Is the insert made of glass?1 answer
Your description doesn’t say. Fairly important information I think.

G'day Denise,
The GSI Outdoors Commuter Java Press is made from copolyester with a foam protective cover.
We list product materials in the specifications on the right-hand side of the details blurb. However, I'll get our team to review the text to see if we can incorporate this information there too.
