Made to maximise sleeping area, the Sea to Summit Comfort Plus Insulated Rectangular Sleeping Mats offer a level of comfort and redundancy not seen in any other lightweight mattress for trekking and hiking.
Dot welding construction creates offset air sprung cells that offer similar characteristics to a pocket spring mattress. Thermolite® insulation in each cell and a layer of heat reflective silver coated Exkin® Platinum fabric on the top delivers unprecedented warmth for weight characteristics.
Dual layer construction crafts a mat that can be finely tuned to suit terrain or comfort levels with independently inflated top and bottom levels that also builds in a level of redundancy to your mat – a puncture in one layer of your Comfort Plus Rectangular Mat means you still have the other layer to get you through the night.
Hi, does this mat need to be stored partially inflated or can it be stored rolled completely flat? (such as the Therm-a-Rest NeoAir)

G'day Jeremy,
I've just had a look at Sea to Summit's website, and it says this about storing their mats: All air mats should be stored with the valve open. Do not store the mat inside its stuff sack, and ensure the mat is completely dry before storage. To allow the greatest chance for ventilation the mat should be stored flat, folded as few times as possible. You can read more about that here, I hope that helps, Jeremy.

Integrated pump1 answer
Hi the answer to this query 4 months ago specified an additional pump was required. Do the sea to summit mats now all come with pumps?
Annette - Cheltenham(6 years ago)
G'day Annette,
The Sea to Summit sleeping mat range is all gradually being upgraded to include a pump sack. At the moment we still have a bit of a mixed bag though, but our website should let you know what each model/size is coming with, in the description. We've listed each item as either having a "pump integrated into stuff sack" or "available separately".

two sides1 answer
I bought one of these but didn't realise you have to pump up both sides? How do you determine which is the top and bottom side?
Greg - Sunbury(7 years ago)
G'day Greg,
The Sea to Summit Comfort Plus Insulated Rectangular Mat is mirrored on top and bottom, so it doesn't really matter which way up you have it. To be very technically correct though, the printing and logo on the mat are on the topside.

Separate pump1 answer
Hi, your heads up notice at the base of the details advises us to check which size had the pump included, yet both sizes say pump additional. Please advise which size had the pump. Thanks
Andrew - 3222(7 years ago)
G'day Andrew,
We've got the message regarding the pumps on all of the Sea to Summit mats as they are currently transitioning the model to include the integrated pump sack. At this point in time both sizes of the Comfort Plus Insulated Rectangular require the purchase of an additional pump.

G'day Michael,
The Sea to Summit Comfort Plus Insulated Regular will work well with the Sea to Summit Base Camp BCIII. These are an excellent option for the cold weather.

Hey there i purchased this sea to summit insulated mattress. Though i am heading to a warm climate. Is the insulated specifically designed for the colder climates?
sean - newport(8 years ago)
G'day Sean,
Thie Sea to Summit Comfort Plus Insulated Rectangular Mat has not been specifically designed for colder climates, it just provides insulation from the ground whatever the temperature is – so you’ll be able to use it in all kinds of climates!Â
