I currently have a S2S hiking pad that can attach the pillow to it, but the sleeping mat doesn't seem to have that sort of attachment. Is there a recommended pillow that's not going to move too much?
Kat - Oak Park(4 years ago)
G'day Kat,
There isn't a specific pillow recommended for the Comfort DLX Mats but if you've already got one of the Sea to Summit pillows that would be what we'd recommend. The Aeros Premium and Aeros Premium Deluxe pillows use a similar soft stretch knit fabric to the mattress top, so they won't slide around too much.

Will two fit in my tent? 1 answer
Hey team! I have a Black Wolf Wasp UL 2 tent, would two of these comfort deluxe large wide mats fit in the tent? The listed measurements are pretty snug, but is the width of the mat measured when it’s deflated (a little wider since it’s smushed flat) or is it measured when it’s inflated (a bit thinner since the mat is tall and full)? Thanks!!
Adriane - Hallam (4 years ago)
The measurements are taken when the mat is inflated, Adriane. I've never tried it, but I'm quite confident that two of these will be too tight in a lightweight hiking tent like the Wasp. You need to allow for the height of the mat and any slope in the tent wall too.

Exped pump work on this?1 answer
Have and Exped Megamat 10 with it's included pump - and like the idea of this for a 2nd mat for a hotter sleeper - just wondering if the Exped pump will work on this mattress?
Justin - Orange(5 years ago)
G'day Justin,
I have these two mattresses and the exped pump won't fit the valve on the Sea to Summit, as its a larger valve system. The Sea to Summit mat is very fast at inflating so I generally find I don't need a pump. I still do use it sometimes on the Sea to Summit mat to make it slightly firmer by wrapping my fingers around the open area, it's not quite as effective but will still help.

Best way to find a leak?1 answer
Hi, I have this model S2S mat which is about 1 year old and it seems to no longer hold air, i.e. it deflates to a point (will obviously not deflate flat) after being inflated. What is best method of finding if and where the leak may be without damaging the mat? Thanks.
Andrew - Wembley Downs(6 years ago)
G'day Andrew,
I've just had a chat to the guys on the floor who check for warranties and repairs, and their best advice is to fill up a squirt bottle with water and a few drops of mild detergent or soap, inflate your mat, spray the entire mat with the mixture, then apply a moderate amount of pressure on the mat. The area where there is a leak should form bubbles, and then you should be able to patch it up.
I hope this helps, Andrew, but if you have any other queries - give us a buzz on 1300 914 007.

Is this mat bonded?1 answer
Is the mat bonded?
Tay - Singapore(6 years ago)
G'day Tay,
Yes, they are bonded. All the Sea to Summit self-inflating mats are put together using a bonded construction.

Width1 answer
I prefer to sleep on my side and find a lot of mats too narrow. How do you find this one?
Jenna - VIC(6 years ago)
G'day Jenna,
The Comfort DLX SI Sleeping Mat LW is going to offer you that extra width compared to the regular version of this model, which puts it par with other single sized car camping mats in our range.
It's 76cm wide so it might be worth comparing the dimensions to a mat you already have to get an idea of whether it will be spacious enough for you. I hope this was helpful Jenna!

How does this compare to the Exped Megamat LXW10? 1 answer
We have one of those already as well as a Black Wolf Mega deluxe, but need another for our son. Just deciding which one to get. As an aside, the Exped is heaps better than the Black Wolf!
SJ - WA(7 years ago)
G'day SJ,
Either way, you'd be happy with whichever choice you made but there are a few differences between the Sea to Summit Comfort DLX SI Sleeping Mat LW and the Exped Megamat 10 LXW. The S2S has an R-Value of 5.2 compared to the 9.5 of the Exped. The S2S is 4cm longer but 1cm slimmer. Both pack down to similar sizes and are the same thickness. The Exped has an inflation aid built in but you can buy a pump for the S2S. The S2S is about 200g lighter and comes with a lifetime warranty versus the 5-year warranty of the Exped. I hope this has helped you make up your mind a little bit.
