any bigger than a 5 cup?1 answer
Hi my wife and I love our morning coffee(s) do they make a 10 or 12 cup ?
Steven - Ulmarra, NSW(4 years ago)
G'dat Steven,
At this point in time Campfire just make the one size, which is a 5 cup version. You might have to make a second pot to keep yourself adequately caffeinated!

Can you use on open fire or coals1 answer
I know it says not recommended for open fire, but if you were careful to just use it over coals, can you use this on an open fire pit?
JJ - 3014(4 years ago)
G'day JJ,
The recommendation is mainly to protect the wooden handle and the glass top. lf you've got some good coal making skills, and are able to keep the heat fairly even without flaring too much you could probably use coals however you do need it to come to the boil and stay at the boil so the coffee percolates through the unit.

Wobbles on stove1 answer
Hi I have just got mine from snowys in the mail, been using this for a couple of days on my glass stove. Is it meant to have a wobble, the bottom of mine isn't flat and it wobbles around a lot
Monita - Lalor Park(5 years ago)
The base may not be completely flat, but it shouldn't wobble around too much, Monita. If you put it on a flat benchtop and it still has a considerable wobble then there may be a problem.
If you are concerned, try and grab some pictures and send them through to use here - https://www.snowys.com.au/warranty, we will look into it for you.
Yes, we currently have these in our Keswick store available to purchase. If you're not in Adelaide then send us an email (service@snowys.com.au) and we can process this as a special order and post it to you.

Unfortunately replacement glass knobs are no longer available from the supplier, so we're not able to get our hands on replacements.

How to Fit Glass Knob?1 answer
Can't seem to securely screw in the glass knob - it has a screw thread so assume it is meant to screw in but it just sits into the lid unsecure - could fall off when pouring. Is this how it is meant to work? (There's also a cut-out knotch in the hole in the lid - can't work out if this is damage or intentional.)
Susan - Elwood(6 years ago)
G'day Susan,
I've just had a look at our display model and the glass knob has a thread that you hand screw in, the model here holds in ok. There is also a small notch cut into the lid, so it appears to be intentional. Maybe have another go and if it doesn't hold in please give send us some photos and we can have a look at trying to problem solve it that way.

Induction electric cooktops1 answer
Does this percolator work on induction cook tops?
Craig - Barden Ridge(6 years ago)
G'day Craig,
I've just done the magnet check on the Campfire Coffee Percolator and unfortunately it is not magnetic, so it won't work on your induction cooktop.

Dimensions 1 answer
Hello
According to the web site, the dimensions of this coffee percolator are 20 in diameter. W and 13 cm Wide. The percolator is cylindrical, I don't understand how the with is different from the diameter? I ask because i want to work out if I can use the percolator with my Trangia 27 stove...
Matthew - Rosewater(6 years ago)
G'day Matthew,
Sorry for our confusing answer earlier. The Percolator itself is about 13cm across the bottom. If you include the handle and the spout as well, then it's about 20cm.

Campfire percolater instructions 1 answer
Just received my percolator but has no instructions and can't find the specific one for this product can you help?
Ross Norman - Tabourie (7 years ago)
G'day Ross,
I can't seem to track down any instructions for these either sorry. My suggestion would be to seach for 'Campfire Coffee Percolator' on Youtube. There's quite a few videos of people demonstrating very similar units both on an open fire and using a gas stove. If you're still not sure give us a call and we'll see if one of our staff own this particaular model and can talk you through it.

What is the volume?1 answer
I know that sounds like a dumb Q given it says "5 cup" but sometimes coffee makers say 5 cup and it's referring to small cups. What is the volume in Mls it holds?
Jean - 6726(7 years ago)
G'day Jean,
Great question - the Campfire Coffee Percolator holds about 1.25L of water.

Are filters required?1 answer
Does this coffee maker require paper filters or anything else to make the coffee other than ground coffee in the basket?
Digby - 5250(8 years ago)
G'day Digby,
I've had a look at the product, and it doesn't mention using filters so you shouldn't need them as far as we know - just the ground coffee.

Comparison to stovetop1 answer
How is this different to a stove-top coffee maker? Does it work with butane burner or just LPG burner?
Digby - 5250(8 years ago)
G’day Digby,
The Campfire Coffee Perculator isn’t any different (in how it works) to a stove top coffee maker- and you can definitely use it with butane or LPG burner outdoor stoves - just not on an open fire because of the handle.

What are the dimensios & weight of the coffee percolator ?1 answer
Do you sell any coffee grinders ?
Simon - YALLINGUP , WA(8 years ago)
Hi Simon, unfortunately we do not sell coffee grinders at this current time. I’ve got my tape measure out and this percolator (including the spout and handle) is 20cm in diameter, 13cm in width and 18cm in height. It weighs 0.64g without the box. Thanks for your question Simon, now we know our website is lacking those specs so I’ll update those details to make it clearer for everyone else.
