For large families or groups on long touring expeditions, the CFX3 95DZ gives you the versatility of two independent compartments for freezing or cooling.
This design has a powerful VMSO3 compressor cooling technology which efficiently refrigerates and deep freezes down to -22°C with a superior seal to retain cool air. The heavy-duty yet light ExoFrame construction gives protection in harsh environments, while the strong spring-loaded aluminium handles make carrying easy. Power it by AC, DC or solar and control/monitor it by WiFi/Bluetooth using the free app. Storage-wise, the 94L interior can fit up to 133 cans of drinks and the dual compartments with independent temperature control allow you to cool/freeze at the same time.
It’s also got an easy to read digital display which shows the temperature and status of your unit and comes with an upgraded USB port for charging your phone. Whether you’re doing a lap of Australia or a remote outback expedition – the CFX3 95DZ from Dometic will keep your food and drinks frozen or chilled.

Hi. Can one compartment be turned off. Say for weekend use
G'day Brendon,
Yes you can turn one compartment off, each of the compartments can be individually controlled.
Does the CFX3 95DZ really use almost double the power when compared to the Evakool range? Evakool quote 2.1-2.3A per hr avg for similar ambient and fridge temps?
G'day Greg,
The stats reports by Dometic are running the unit is fridge/freezer mode: Average 3.57 Ah/h (@12 V, 4ËšC (large), -15ËšC (small), 32ËšC ambient, Bluetooth on, WiFi off).
The stats from Evakool are:
Fridge/Fridge 1.0 - 2.2 Ah/h @12V, 4°C interior | Freezer/Freezer 2.5 - 3.5 Ah/h @12V, -16°C interior | 32°C ambient 24hr period.
Overall, they'll most likely draw a similar amount of power, when run in the fridge/freezer mode, however, based purely on the stats from Evakool, they should theoretically be a tad more efficient.
Can you use only one zone turned on for short trips or do you have to have both on at the same time?
G'day Liz,
Yes, you can use the CFX3 95DZ in a variety of configurations. You can turn both compartments on, or have only one side on (either small side or large side).
Just wanting to know if the handles can be removed and if so what is the length without them. Thanks
G'day Jake,
It's a bit tricky to see, but in the very last image we've got a schematic diagram and it includes the length without handles if you're needing a visual helper. You're looking at 90.2cm, and the handles can be removed with a screw driver.
I noticed your package for this unit includes 2 fridge stands, not one. Do you recommend 2 stands to support the weight?
G'day Rosie,
The 95DZ weighs in at almost 30kgs and is quite a large fridge. The two fridge stands would be required for stability and for the weight distribution.
Can the lids open in either direction?
G'day Shaun,
The lid opens in one direction, but you can change the hinge and latch sides with a screwdriver so that the lids open in the other direction.
What is the weather like where you are?
G'day David,
The new CFX3 95DZ doesn't come with a cover, the covers themselves haven't been released yet. Dometic assures us they're on the way, but we're not sure when at this stage! Our stock has just landed, so that's good news for you, delivery to Perth is estimated at 4-7 business days. The weather isn't too bad thanks :)
G'day David
I'm just reaching out with a quick update to let you know that CFX3 covers are now available for purchase.
Curious as to what is the differences between the CFX3 95model and the previous model, the CFX 95?
G'day Rob,
Great question, there are a few great new upgrades on the CFX3 models, I'll list them in no particular order; improved control panel (which is now weather protected), rugged aluminium handles (plastic in old model), new lid latch (easier to open with one hand), XOS Frame (more rugged and greater edge protection), improved basket divider and LED light, improved connectivity (new app with bluetooth, power and temperature history monitoring), improved covers (made from EVA foam and lid cover attaches and opens with lid = no velcro!!). Specifically on the 95DZ (weight decreased by 2.2kg), can only be used with DC Power sockets rated 180W (12V/15A).
