Length of unit1 answer
I see the length without handles is approx 83cm, can the handles be easily removed without problem to warranty and do you have anything to replace handles with to use as tie down as I have seen on some Engels ? Thanks.
David - Sydney, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day David,
The handles can be removed with an allen key, although there is no alternative options for tie downs. If the fridge needs to be anchored with tie down straps, you'll need to do that through the handles.

Just a fridge?1 answer
Is it possible to use both compartments only as a fridge, if you didn’t need to use a freezer on shorter trips?
Kath - Geebung, QLD(3 years ago)
G'day Kath,
Yes each compartment will run at whatever temperature you set them to. If you wanted to run both in freezer or both in fridge zones, that is completely up to you!

CFX3 75DZ Dual Zone Fridge/Freezer 75L 2 answers
Hi, What is the difference between the original and the updated A2 model of these fridges?
Brooke - East Melbourne, VIC(3 years ago)
G'day Brooke,
Literally no difference other than an additive mixed into the plastic used in the shroud, to meet the A2 compliance requirements for fridges to be sold in NSW. The fridges are otherwise identical in every way, and the NSW A2 compliance requirements came in about 6-12months ago. All fridges we sell are A2 compliant, there are not many retailers that would have the non-A2 compliant fridges left at all, and again, this compliance was only relevant in NSW.
Lauren - Snowys(3 years ago)
G'day Tom,
Its an amendment to standard AS/NZS 60335.2.24 in NSW relating to the flammability of portable refrigeration devices. As far as I'm aware this was introduced in 2018 with a 24 month time frame for compliance to be met, majority of these started dropping through out 2020, so all fridges currently available will now comply.

Noise1 answer
I'm tossing up a few models, primarily this model and the Companion 75L Dual Zone. I'm wondering if there's a significant difference between them in terms of how noisy they are when running? Or is any other model a standout for being quiet?
Chris - Cheltenham, VIC(4 years ago)
G'day Chris,
The Dometic CFX3 and Companion Dual Zone 75L are both great options. In terms of noise, reports are they are both fairly similar in the field. The main differences really come down to the battery system, the compressor unit, warranty and overall efficiency. The Companion is still fairly new on the market, but uses the SECOP compressor that was previously used in Dometic models, and tends to be a little quieter than some of the other brands on the market. I hope that helps.

Difference between CFF75DZ1 answer
What's the difference (other than price) between the CFX375DZ and the CFF75DZ? Do they run different compressors or electronics or simply just have different functions and cases? Cheers
Ted - Melbourne(4 years ago)
G'day Ted,
There are a few differences between the CFX3 and CFF models. The CFX3 is the more advance model with the new Dometic ACV20DC compressor, they have a longer warranty period, low voltage battery protection, and has a robust exo-skeleton with spring loaded handles. You can also connect the fridge to an app on your phone to monitor temperatures and make sure your unit is in top shape. The CFF is a budget model with a SECOP Danfoss, a shorter warranty period, and there is no low voltage battery protection.
Overall both models will serve a similar purpose, but the CFX3 has more features, and options for greater versatility.

Insulated Cover1 answer
is there a insulated cover available for this?
Luke - Padthaway (4 years ago)
G'day Luke,
There is just the one model available for CFX3 fridges, it is listed as a protective cover, but it does have some EVA insulation, and is specified to improve the efficiency of your fridge.

What is the length EXCLUDING handles. I know it's 89cm including handles so what is it without so I know if it will fit in my tray. Also what is the factory warranty?

Differences to CFX2?1 answer
What are the main differences between this model and the previous?
Kieran - South Fremantle(5 years ago)
G'day Kieran
Great question, there are a few great new upgrades on the CFX3 models, I'll list them in no particular order; improved control panel (which is now weather protected), rugged aluminium handles (plastic in old model), new lid latch (easier to open with one hand), XOS Frame (more rugged and greater edge protection), improved basket divider and LED light, improved connectivity (new app with bluetooth, power and temperature history monitoring), improved covers (made from EVA foam and lid cover attaches and opens with lid = no velcro!!).
