Does the dual zone have separate control ability for each side - eg can I set freezer to -12 and fridge to 2 degrees?
If so, can I also turn the freezer part completely off if it is not in use anymore?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to do that with the CFX-65 Fridge and Freezer.Â
The freezer of the CFX-65 controls the fridge when set to a temperature of approx. 12 degrees, whereas the CFX-95DZ2 has two independently controlled compartments, which gives you full control to easily adjust the temperature on either side.Â
So if you want independent control, the CFX-95DZ2Â would be the better model for you.Â

Do you have to run this as a dual zone all the time or can you just have either the fridge or the freezer running?

I'm not in the store at the moment sorry Paul, so I'm going by memory. I'm pretty sure the divider is removable which enables for use solely as a fridge or freezer. I'll check up on how easy the divider is to use and post my findings back here for you on Monday. Good Morning Paul, just confirming that the CFX65 Dual Zone can be used solely as a fridge or freezer with the divider and freezer compartment removed, which simply slides into place making it easily convertible.

Hi again Paul, just chatting to one of our 'portable fridge experts' here and mentioned your question from the weekend. Once consideration for you that came up in the conversation, is that when used solely as a freezer, the CFX65 Dual Zone has to work much harder than the regular CFX65. This is due to the cooling elements on the CFX65 DZ being located solely around the freezer compartment, which then cools the rest of the fridge. The CFX65 has cooling elements all the way around the main compartment, which makes it cool/freeze more efficiently, but takes away the dual zone capability.
