The CFX 50W, is the temperature in the small (higher) compartiment the same as the temp. in the main compartiment? Because I know for the The CFX 40W the small compartiment's temp. is always higher towards it's main temp. comartiment. Thanks in advance. Jeff.

The higher shelf/condiment shelf is approximately 2-3 degrees warmer than the main compartment so is ideal for butter and cheeses.

You can certainly run the Dometic CFX 40W from the Dometic CoolPower RAPS44 Battery Pack. You can connect the fridge to the battery pack using the supplied 12V lead with Cigarette Socket. The fridge will run for approximately 36-40 hours on fridge mode (this is in the user manual you can download at the bottom of the product page for the CoolPower RAPS44). The battery pack can be used as a stand-alone unit, or in your vehicle, best bet would be to check the installation and operation options in the manual.
