How do you keep it safely secured from prying hands of people at caravan parks helping themselves to food inside Is there a lock i could have
G'day Fernando,
Unfortunately, there is no way to lock the lid of this particular fridge due to the configuration of the lid, so you might have to lock it inside your vehicle or tent as an alternative.
Hi, Looking to set up the CFX 28L for my personal use. Need to be able to be off grid for about a week. What size battery and solar panel would you recommend
G'day Brian,
Head over to this great blog about Battery & Solar Setups for some help determining what you'll need. I'd probably recommend a solar panel around 100W and then a battery of at least 44Ah.
Is this unit able to freeze one compartment, and cool the other? Or, depending on temp level, is the whole unit either a fridge or freezer?
G'day Doug,
It's the latter mate! You adjust the temp to be suitable for either fridge OR freezer. This one doesn't have the freezer inner compartment lid to enable it to be both at the same time. Cheers :)
I am interested in this purchase. Will you match tentworld and Anaconda's price of $759?
G'day Louise,
I can't match this one for you. Sorry that I wasn't able to get back to you yesterday, we were exceptionally busy. If you have any more questions give us a call on 1300914007 and we can answer your queries straight away.
Just wondering if I can have the insulation cover on while it operates or is it for when it’s not powered?
G'day Jared,
The Waeco CFX-28 cover is designed to be used while the fridge is operating, it will help to insulate and protect the unit. Just a heads up though that it's not included with the fridge.

G’day Luke,
I’ve just had a look at Dometic’s product page for the CFX-28, and the dimensions seem to match up with ours which you can check out here.
These are definitely correct as I’ve just measured our display model to confirm it. Hope this helps Luke!

Hi Luke,
I can see where you got those dimensions from in the PDF document, but I have measured the display unit myself in our Keswick store, and I found that the 62L x 34.2W x 42.5H cm specs are correct.
There must just be a typo in that document Luke, sometimes there can be small discrepancies with supplier information but we always physically check to be sure.
My WAECO does not have Dometic written on the fridge , I would like to know power consumption I am running from an auxillary 12v batteryin my hand book it says 61KWh/annum what is that in a.h
G'day Joe,
After doing the calculations, I'm feeling a bit like Albert Einstein! Based on the 61KWh/annum number you've given, your Waeco CFX-28 Fridge will be running at approximately 1amp/hour. This is averaged out over the course of the year, so some hours will be more and others less, depending on the outside temperature, how much food is in the fridge etc.
G'day Joe,
It's a pretty good rate, you'll get a pretty similar draw out of a similar sized Engel as you do your Waeco CFX-28 Fridge.
Hi, the warranty says 3+2 years. Is this a total of 5 years parts and service? thanks
G'day Paul,
The 3 year part of the Waeco warranty covers all parts and labour. The extra 2 years for the compressor only and is for the part only, not for labour.
Hi, The capacity listed in the specs is 13.1 litre. Is this correct as it seems a tad small. Thanks.
Hi Julie. Thanks for the question. The actual capacity of the CFX-28 is 28.2 litres, rather than 13.1. The Waeco fridge is a great unit, with handy features like a three stage programmable cutout to preserve your vehicle battery from going flat, and a handy USB charging output for your phone! Meanwhile, we will get the information corrected as soon as possible on our web site. Great pickup! Cheers.
13.1 is actually the weight in kg
