Although not disclosed by My Coolman, do you have any information or a rough indication of power consumption levels?

G'day Michael,
We dont have any information at all I'm sorry. The only thing we can really do would be to look at other brand fridges of similar sizes and use that as a very rough guide. I'd say you'd be looking at 1.5-3Ah on average - but as i said, thats a very rough guide.

Other than a vague '4.65 amps' (@ 12-volts (= 56 watts) there is ABOLUTELY NO way of finding out about fuel consumption, and I'm about to return the unit I bought because of this evasiveness. Most of the larger units(up to 90 litres) I looked at ran at about the same Wattage, whereas my old Engel 42-litre unit runs at full-bore 24/7 at 32 Watts. It DOES cost much more, but when dependability matters I believethe cost is worth it.
Trevor - Jolly(3 years ago)
G'day Trevor,
There are so many variables that affect power consumption, and even with two identical fridges side by side running on the same settings, you can get very different outcomes based on how you interact with a fridge. Even something a simple as how many time a fridge is opened in an hour can have an impact. Because of this, there's not many brands that can give you a guaranteed power consumption, and guides are literally just a guide.
If you have a battery system where you can the Ah being drawn at any given moment, you'll know how much your fridge uses. As myCoolman is very similar to the original Waeco's, the Dometic fridges are a reasonable comparison when it comes to power consumption.

Power Pack1 answer
Does the My Coolman power pack work on this model? Do the magnets attach without the metal outer?
Michael - Brisbane, QLD(3 years ago)
G'day Michael,
Yes, the MyCoolman power pack does work with this model, however as the fridge is made from polypropylene the power pack wont magnet to the sides

protective cover1 answer
can you buy a protective cover for this model of fridge
scott - Devonport, TAS(3 years ago)
G'day Scott,
No, unfortunately, there isn't a compatible cover for this fridge. The CCP44 sized cover will fit, but the access panels, etc dont line up.

Internal basket?1 answer
Can you confirm if this has an internal basket. I can't find anything on your, or the MyCoolman website. From one of the pics it looks like it might.
Brett - Hornsby, NSW(3 years ago)
G'day Brett,
Yep, absolutely, there is a basket in the CEP47.

Fridge and freezer 1 answer
Is this the type of unit that can be both a fridge and a freezer at the same time or is it the type that runs as one choice or the other not both.
Jan - Prospect, SA(3 years ago)
G'day Jan,
This model has just one compartment, so it can be run as either Fridge OR Freezer. If you're wanting to run both a fridge and freezer simultaneously, you'll need to look at the Dual Zone options, they start at the 69L Size.

Noise1 answer
comparing the CEP47 with the Dometic CFF 45 what are the noise levels to be expected when running Db?
Brian - Woolgoolga, NSW(4 years ago)
G'day Brian,
It's not really a straight answer we can give you here, as there are no testing standards around fridge noise. Ultimately Dometic are known to be one of the quietest fridges around. The MyCoolman fridges are based on the original Waeco (now know as Dometic) - so I think it's safe to say they'll be comparable.
