Hey Brad, the detachable day pack has a padded laptop sleeve included. The sleeve measures 40cm in length, the width at the top of the pack is 24cm but it tapers out towards the bottom to 29cm, and caters for a laptop around 3.5cm thick. All of these measurements roughly equate to a standard 17†laptop.

It has a chest strap Amanda, but no waist strap. Given the short back length of small daypacks like this, a waist strap is often useless as it ends up around your belly rather than your waist.

It doesn't sorry Richard, the rain cover is really only designed to keep your pack dry whilst carrying it on your back. To protect the whole bag, harness and all, you can use the Black Wolf Overall, you can find this item on our website. It is simply a large sack with lockable zips that you can dump your pack into before heading to the airport.
