About the role 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, smart and ambitious Assistant Store Manager for our Keswick retail store. 

As an Assistant Manager at Snowys, you will support the Store Manager in all aspects of retail operations, including staff management, customer service, stock control, and store presentation.  

You’ll work alongside the Store Manager to ensure every customer receives expert advice and inspiration, lead by example and assist in developing a strong, customer-focused team that aligns with Snowys' Core Values.  

Together with the Store Manager you will ensure that the store merchandising helps our customers shop with ease and that the store runs efficiently and achieves its’ sales goals.  

This is a permanent full-time position (Tuesday to Saturday) in a fast-paced retail environment, with a team of 20+ dedicated and passionate team members.

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within retail, preferably in a similar industry 
  • Strong leadership and team development abilities 
  • Proven success in achieving store sales and KPI targets 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Experience with creating store displays and visual merchandising 
  • A passion for outdoor activities and knowledge of camping and outdoor gear 
  • Ability to work a Tuesday to Saturday roster (38 hours) each week

We're on the lookout for a handful of passionate outdoor enthusiasts to join our vibrant Snowys sales team, assisting customers with their upcoming adventures.

What we're really interested in finding is an experienced lover of camping, hiking and/or travel who is personable, vibrant, and energetic with a willingness to learn. Our customers love to shop at Snowys because they know they'll get the best advice from a team that know our products and have a shared love of outdoor adventures.

So, if you’ve had camping, hiking and/or travel experience, studied or worked in outdoor recreation or tourism, or are involved in one of the many outdoor communities across Adelaide - we'd love to hear from you!

If you have the following, then that’s even better:

  • Retail, sales, or customer service experience – ideally in the outdoor industry
  • Brilliant verbal communications skills – both in person and on the phone
  • Experience working with POS systems and Microsoft Office
  • A creative brain and attention to detail to assist with merchandising displays

Our Keswick store is open 7 days a week, which allows our customers to get what they need, when they need it; so weekend availability will be a must for successful candidates.
