Does the standard brackets easily connect to a rhino platform?
Will - Trevallyn, TAS(1 week ago)
G'day Will,
The brackets that come with the Inspired Overland tents are wide enough for a standard roof rail, and arent directly compatible with platfrom racks - the slats are too big. You can grab the Rhino Rack Pioneer Accessory bars to make mounting pretty straight forward. Alternatively you'd need to come up with a DIY solution, likely using 5mm flat bar from Bunnings or similar hardware store, and creating some longer clamp pieces that would fit around the Pioneer slats.

Pump to deflate mattress 1 answer
Do you sell a suitable pump to be able to use on the self inflate mattress to deflate for pack up to be able to store sleeping bag and pillows when packed up?
David - Melbourne, VIC(4 weeks ago)
D'day David,
You'd be able to store a down sleeping bag or doona that compresses easily, or potentially a synthetic sleeping bag depending how flat it is, but you would be able to get pillows in aswell. The mattress itself has to be deflated for pack up just for the roof top tent to close itself, without bedding. There wont be much room left over. Other models of the Inspired Overland tents will have more leeway, as they have a soft torneau cover, but the carbon one is abit less forgiving.
Pump work to inflate no worries, but the orange valve is abit too wide for deflate support on alot of the pumps we carry. You can still make it work, but its abit fiddly. Alternatively you can open the mat right up and attache the pump, and then quickly pull it off and close the cap when you're done. The Zempire Monstamat has a similarly sized valve, so their Monstapump will be the best bet.

Roof Rack Bars - Weight Limit1 answer
Can you confirm the max weight the roof racks could hold while still allowing the tent to be used
Matt - Brisbane, QLD(1 month ago)
G'day Matt,
At this stage, there are no roof rails available for this RTT - we expect to get them in the next few months. We don't have any further details on this accessory, or any information on weight ratings at this stage. Watch this space!

Do you have any store or warehouse in Victoria? Planning to buy the carbon fibre rtt
Jon - Eden, NSW(1 month ago)
G'day Jon,
We don't have any warehouses or shops in Victoria currently, but we can deliver! If you are ever in the area, we have this on display at our Keswick, SA and Brendale, QLD stores.

Fixing1 answer
Does the Tslot channel underneath the tent base slide or adjust laterally if needed or is it fixed in place. If so can it relocate towards the outer underneath edge. I have lateral rails and I’m thinking of attaching directly without cross rails unless it requires cross rails for support.
Paul - Manly, NSW (1 month ago)
G'day Paul,
They don't adjust sorry, and will require cross rails for support proper support. The rails sit approx 20cm from the outer edge of the roof top tent.
Hope that helps.

Roof Rack and Light Bar1 answer
Is it possible to add roof racks to this tent, and if so, what brand/make of roof racks is recommended? What is the maximum load you could put ontop of this tent? Also, are you able to attach a light bar on the front of this RTT? thank you
Alan - AUS(1 month ago)
G'day Alan,
You can fit the Inspired Overland roof racks onto this Carbo model only - we'll be getting them in the next few months. It would be possible to mount a light bar, but you'd need t-channel bolts and come up with a mounting solution - there's not an off the shelf bracket that we have, but its definitely achievable

Sleeping gear when travelling 1 answer
Hi Can you leave your Sleeping gear (2 sleeping bags plus a Doona) inside the tent when travelling without deflating the mattress?
Rohan - Pakenham, VIC(2 months ago)
G'day Rohan,
You can't sorry - the only way to leave bedding in the Carbon tent is to fully deflate and compress the mattress. The nature of a light, compact roof top tent, you sacrifice things like leaving bedding in for a slimmer profile.

Weight1 answer
Will the his be ok on a haval jolian with a roof weight of 50 kilos
Carrol - Wyee Point, NSW(5 months ago)
G'day Carrol,
You'll need to take into consideration the weight of your roof rack system aswell, but if the total load weight on your vehicle roof is less that 50kg, you should be ok.

Solar and roof bars1 answer
Can these take solar or roof bars?
Jimmy - Bathurst, NSW (5 months ago)
G'day Jimmy,
This rooftop tent has T-slots so you can attach roof bars on the rooftop tent lid and pop a solar panel on top. I would just be mindful of your roof load capacity.

Latches1 answer
I noticed on the video there was a slight bow in the centre on the carbon roof when packing up. Is there a waterproof seem that needs to make proper contact in order to prevent water getting in?
Wayne - Matraville, NSW (5 months ago)
G'day Wayne,
I've checked in with Ben on this one - he said in the video they didn't make efforts to deflate the mat at all, which adds a bit of pressure to the shell when closed. Being such a lightweight option, the best bet is to deflate the mat a bit for pack up, especially if you're concerned with the seal not meeting. Hope that helps!

T slot1 answer
Would the t slot hold a 270 awning with ease
Ryan - Wright, ACT(6 months ago)
G'day Ryan,
The T-slot would not be suitable for attaching a 270 Awning as the T-slot is on the lid of the Rooftop tent and wouldn't be strong enough or in the right position for a 270 Awning. Most 270 Awnings require 3 attachment points, which would be better attached to your Roof Racks.
