G'day Kerrie,
We wouldn't recommend using this on an open camp fire, as it is made from Non-Stick Aluminium, which isn't designed to handle very high temperatures like camp fires.

Drain Plug1 answer
With the drain plug open, would the grease not fall straight onto the burner? Or am I missing something...

Great question! I've checked out our floor stock and the drain plug opens into a sloping channel underneath the plate that drains out to the rim of the plate to be collected in a tin or similar. Hope this makes sense!

Unfortunately, we're not able to get individual components for the Butane Stove BBQ Plates. It might be time for an upgrade, or you may be able to find something at a hardware store that will fit.
