The roomy, versatile and breezy OZtrail Bungalow 9 Family Tent is the perfect tent for a family camping getaway – especially when the weather is warm.
The frame design of this tent makes it super quick and easy to set up. The Bungalow 9 has a central room with 2 large bedrooms or screen rooms on either side – so it’s a very versatile setup. The tent also features near vertical poles and high ceilings which creates maximum roominess and headroom.
The oversize D doors in the middle and at both ends of the tent allow for easy multi-point access, which also minimises tripping. The large side, rear and front awnings provide plenty of shade for relaxing outside when the sun is shining, and when set up allow maximum breeziness throughout the tent. The bucket style heavy duty PE floor keeps ground level moisture and water out, so that’s one less thing to worry about if the weather turns sour. The tent fly is also made silver coated fabric for extra strength and protection.
The Bungalow 9 from OZtrail a great option for families that are after versatility and plenty of ventilation when they camp.
Which replacement poles fit this tent?
G'day Jason,
We don't carry any replacement poles for the Bungalow 9 tent, however, the roof poles are fibreglass so you should be able to replace them using a Pole Repair Kit. If you're needing replacement leg poles then we'd suggest reaching out to the team at Oztrail Spare Parts.
Want to know if this tent works in Autumn, Winter and Spring
G'day Nick,
The Bungalow 9 Tent is a 2-3 season tent, so it will be suitable in light rain and warmer conditions. The tent has a full mesh inner, so it will be best suited to summer and the shoulder seasons, but you might find yourself quite chilly if you're using it in winter.
Can you get awnings to extend the outdoor space for long trips
G'day Craig,
The Oztrail Bungalow 9 Tent is a fairly basic model so doesn't have any extra accessories or awnings available.
My dogs got onto my shed n ripped up the fly to my tent just after a new fly for my bungalow 9
G'day Andrew,
If you could send an email to service@snowys.com.au about this we'll look into it and see what we can source for you.
to purchase
G'day K9 Squadron,
Unfortunately, we're only able to ship within Australia. If you had a contact in Australia to forward the tent to you, then that would be your best bet.
No mention of whether or not the doors have a solid panel internally or is it just mesh. Obviously for privacy solid is better
G'day Jay,
The Oztrail Bungalow 9 only comes with mesh walls which allows for maximum ventilation throughout the tent.
Just wondering if this tent comes with guy ropes and are they pre tied ? Thanks
G'day Jay,
I'ver just checked out our display and the Oztrail Bungalow 9 does come with guy ropes. I can't be 100% sure on whether they come attached as we can't recall when setting up our display but they normally do on most tents. If not, it doesn't appear too difficult to attach them to the tent.
Hi guys, looking a large, roomy tent for a young family of 5 that we can grow into. Liked the look of this one and also the Oztrail Resort Dome 12 man tent. Can you recommend? And do you still sell the Resort Dome and the Anniversary edition? Budget between $200-$400. Thanks very much
Hi David, the Oztrail Bungalow 9 is a good pick because it the right size and it fits your budget. If you are fairly new to camping, or if you want something that’s fast to set up, the Instant Up 8 from Coleman (Snowys code: 47240) is a solid choice because it’s roomy, well-priced and extremely easy to set up. We currently don’t sell the Oztrail Resort Dome or the Anniversary edition, but the pole system and materials are the same on the Oztrail Resort Dome and the Bungalow 9. Sometimes these decisions can come down to your personal use like weather conditions, and your level of experience - so if you have any more queries feel free to give us a call on 1300 914 007 to speak to one of our sales staff.
Can never get a tent folded back quite as small as the manufacturer.
UPDATE 3/12: The new version of the Bungalow Tent from Oztrail no longer included the awning poles featured in most pictures.
where we can buy the awning poles?
Hi Monika,
You can find all of our awning poles under our Pegs, Poles & Repairs page, there are a few brands, with some poles adjustable height, some steel, some alloy, so just choose the ones you like the look of best.
