A real space-saving bottle, that’s also BPA free is hard to come by, which is why Platypus came up with their Soft bottle range which makes carrying water with you in your everyday life, and in the outdoors so easy.
This flexible bottle is perfect when you need to save on as much space and weight as possible – as it weighs 80% less than hard drink bottle, and can be squeezed in down the side of your pack super easily. When empty, this bottle can be rolled up and packed away virtually anywhere.
Best of all the Soft Bottle from Platypus won’t leave you with a terrible plastic taste in your mouth every time you need to hydrate.

As a stockist of a lot of Platypus gear, are you able to supply/sell replacement caps for these? Really need to carry spares when hiking remotely and non genuine caps seem to all leak.
Hi Scott,
I've just contacted the Australian Stockist and they do sell replacement caps, so we can order some for you. Please just flick through an email response to this and I can provide the pricing and delivery information.
Hi, how do you fill the bottle? Through top drinking spout or does the bottom unseal?
G'day Anna,
You just screw the lid off the top and fill like you would a normal drink bottle.
Hope that helps,
Will these cope with being compressed or are they likely to burst? I am looking for one to take on a plane and normally store my water bottle in the magazine holder however these normally slightly squash a regular bottle
G'day SJ,
The Platypus Soft Bottles are very durable for such a light weight option. I don't think we see any major problems with them, they're certainly strong enough to squish them into the seat pocket on a plane if you needed to! You can read some of our customers reviews of both the closure cap and push/pull cap versions by clicking here and here. It looks like a few people have used thiers trekking in Nepal etc.
Hi, would you happen to know if this Platy bag is compatible with the Sawyer mini squeeze thread. I intend to fill the bag with dirty water and gravity feed it through the Sawyer mini filter. Thanks Marcus
G'day Marcus,
We don't stock the Sawyer mini filter, so we're not too familiar with it Marcus. As far as I can find this filter is compatible with water bottles, but unfortunately we can't confirm whether it will fit on the thread on the Platypus bottle. It might be worth going back to the place you purchased the filter from to see if they can point you in the right direction, I'm sorry we couldn't be of more help.
