Just wondering if you had a measure of how much awning there is sitting above a Pioneer platform when closed please.

G'day Simmo,
If you click on the PDF manual we have on our product page you will be able to see a photo of a packed up awning mounted to a pioneer rack. Essentially the brackets are L shape, so the entire awning sits above the platform. You'd be looking at adding roughly 20cm to the overall height of your vehicle
Hope I've understood your question correctly, and that info helps.

Installation1 answer
I want to install this onto a 1400mm canopy - how much overhang is allowable front and rear?
Ryan - Gisborne, VIC (1 year ago)
G'day Ryan,
These come with 3 brackets that need to be installed to support the weight of the awning, so you will need 3 roof rails if you don't have a platform. Ideally, you shouldn't have more than 600mm of unsecured awning length at either end, which means you could have all three brackets in a 1000mm space if you really wanted, although it's best to spread the weight evenly.
Also might be worth mentioning that it's not advised to mount the awning partially on the cab, and partially on the canopy, as these sections can move independently and contribute to flexing, can put stress on the brackets and attachments.
Hope that helps!

Awning walls3 answers
Are there any zip on walls available for this awning?
Anthony (Tony) - Adelaide(1 year ago)
G'day Tony,
Campboss don't actually make walls for the Shadow 270 XL awning. I'm not sure if its something they have penciled in for the future, but nothing is on our radar at this stage.
