What is the pressure relief cap?1 answer
Is this just a typical plastic cap with a rubber seal or does it include other components? I’m looking for a very well sealed lid for use with long term emergency water storage and am concerned that a pressure relief lid may be a possible entry point for bacteria etc in this scenario.
Alistair - Indooroopilly, QLD(4 years ago)
G'day Alistair,
The pressure relief cap is a fairly typical water cube/jerry can lid with a rubber seal. It's listed as a pressure relief lid as it can be left in place and opened a little to release the pressure when you're using a tap in the bung at the base. I can't think of any reason this cap would be any different to any other cap style in terms of bacteria entry etc.

Is this can BPA free?1 answer
Some of the other jerry cans list BPA free, this one doesn’t.
Matt - Cairns(4 years ago)
G'day Matt,
I've just double checked the base of the jerry can and there is no mention that they are BPA free. The only listing indicates that they are a class 3 plastic product, and has the number 2 recycle symbol. As far as I can tell they are not BPA free.
