OZtrail have all the gear, and all the ideas – epitomised by their BlockOut Easy Fold Stretcher Tent Single.
The BlockOut coating on the fly blocks up to 95% of light, simultaneously reducing the internal temperature by up to 10 degrees – so you can choose when to catch the day’s rays when you wake. With its 3000-millimetre waterhead rating too, this outback sanctuary withstands wetter weather, while Dryseam taped fly seams offer additional water resistance from winter misery.
Flawlessly portable with a quick-sticks setup, near-vertical side walls also allow additional room to overdeliver for the bigger bivvy-ers. Owing to a powder-coated frame that resists the outback brutality with corrosion-resistance, this stretcher tent stands up to campsite chaos – literally. No-See-Um mesh beats both the bugs and the muggy humidity, thanks to supreme ventilation and protection from insects.
From the bedroom to the outback – the OZtrail BlockOut Easy Fold Stretcher Tent Single extends your camp setup within those outdoor hangouts.

can it last in windy condtions1 answer
if its really windy or any wind at all will it fall over?
Ari - Geelong, VIC (4 months ago)
G'day Ari,
If its really windy weather we recommend setting your stretcher tent up in the most sheltered spot possible, and pegging out the guy ropes provided for extra stability. This is the advice for all shelters in windy conditions, with stretcher tents, family tents, swags, or gazebos, etc

Water head rating 1 answer
I've seen a mate with the more basic version of this tent have water pool at the foot end which leaked onto his feet. Is this version with a higher water head rating likely to do a better job of keeping water out? Or is it inherent in the sloping design that water will likely pool and leak through?
Elliott - Kenmore Hills, QLD(7 months ago)
G'day Elliot,
This version will hold out more water with its 3000mm Waterhead rating while the previous model wasn't tested. When setting the tent up make sure the guy rope at the foot end is pegged out securely so water can run off the tent instead of pooling at the end and you shouldn't have this issue.

Pack up1 answer
Can you pack it up with fly attached ?
col - Torquay, VIC (1 year ago)
G'day Col,
There would not be anything stopping you from leaving the fly on and packing up. A couple of things to be careful of though, just make sure there is no moisuture in the fly to avoid mould and go slow the first couple of times until you get the hang of it - you don't want to damage the fly.

Oztrail blockout stretcher tent1 answer
Was looking to get one of these with a Fatmat 750 mattress, how do you end up for foot room with 15cm mattress. Could I use a Fatmat light only 10cm but I realise it is a bit narrower, would this matter ?
Chris - Narellan, NSW (1 year ago)
G'day Chris,
You still get a decent amount of foot room with the Fatmat 750 you'll only be up 5cm higher than the Fatmat Lite. They are the same length but you'd be better off with the 750 as it is closer to the width of the stretcher than the Lite. Wouldn't be too much difference but you'd have some gap with the Lite Fatmat.

OZTRAIL BlockOut Easy Fold Stretcher Tent Single v Easyfold Stretcher Tent Single1 answer
Hi guys, Is the "BlockOut" Easy Fold Stretcher Tent Single the same tent and set up as the Easy Fold Stretcher Tent Single? Is the only difference being the Blockout material being used? Thanks, James.
James - Woodbine, NSW (1 year ago)
G'day James,
Yep! That's correct. Because the block-out material they are using is also the same one they use in their family tents, Oztrail do provide a waterhead rating/waterproof guarantee with this stretcher, which they don't do with the standard Easy Fold Stretcher Tent. Hope that helps!
