Storage Bag for Billy?1 answer
Hi there, does Campfire make a storage bag for the Stainless Steel Billy 2.8L? I find it's an odd shape and I have been keeping it in a big canvas bag with other things in the camping kit. Thankyou in advance.
JM - East Warburton, VIC(1 year ago)
G'day JM,
Campfire currently doesn't have anything specific that will fit the 2.8L Billy Teapot, there may be some smaller bags available but it is an odd shape to find a bag for!

does it have drain holes?1 answer
does the billy have drain holes at the start of the spout? could it be used to cook and drain pasta?
Lloyd - BLAIRGOWRIE(4 years ago)
G'day Lloyd,
Good news! The billy has 5 small holes at the start of the spout which would work well for cooking pasta.

I understand it will discolour but is the metal thick enough to handle a fire?1 answer
For example, be placed on hot coals in a fire to boil water?
Steve - Kings Langley (4 years ago)
G'day Steve,
Yes, the metal on the Stainless Steel Billy Teapot is thick enough for use in a fire, or with hot coals underneath it. We have plenty of handy reviews from customers who have done this!

Plastic lid handle. Will this melt?1 answer
I notice this billy has a plastic top to the lid. Surely this can't go into hot coals/fire as the lid top will melt?
Dom - Adelaide(4 years ago)
G'day Dom,
This Billy Teapot SS is suitable to use on coals, but if there are large flames that lick up the sides of the billy you'll need to keep an eye on the knob on the lid.

Vivian - Australind(7 years ago)
G'day Vivian,
Unfortunately, the Campfire Billy Teapot SS doesn't have a magnetic bottom and can't be used on an induction cooktop.
