Hi, do you sell replacement poles for the Oztrail biker swag?
G'day Phillip,
We have the OZtrail Universal Swag Pole Replacement Kit which will work, we just don't have the exact set available. You can get the specific set through OZtrail - Biker Expedition Swag Replacement Alloy Pole Kit.
Can the head-end ventilation window be closed?
G'day Ryan,
Yes, there's an internal canvas zippered flap, so you can open and close this vent whilst you're in the swag.
The foot vent also has a zip flap to close off.
Please advise if this swag will perfectly fit to the swag biker bag.
G'day Jackie,
At this point in time the Biker Expedition Swag won't fit in the Oztrail Biker Swag Bag. Oztrail has updated the swag size, but not the bags yet, so the bag will only fit older models of the swag that roll up 50cm long. If you're looking for a swag bag that will suit the current model that packs to 69cm long, then you'll need the RV Biker Swag Sac, you'll find it listed in "you might also like"
Is this a bucket type pvc flooring? Deciding between this or the darche biker swag.
G'day Isabelle,
Yes, the Biker Expedition Swag as a PVC bucket floor.
Does this swag come with a weatherproof storage bag? If not, can you advise if there is a suitable bag to purchase as an option ( product number, price & image if possible)
G'day Mark,
The Biker Expedition Swag doesn't come with a bag, however, you can purchase the RV Biker Swag Sac which will keep your swag nice and dry.
The 50cm wide mattress is just a bit too small for my build
G'day Mal,
The Biker Expedition Swag has a narrow mattress as it's designed to fit on the back of a motorbike so it rolls a little narrower. You could purchase a separate mattress to pop in it, but if you're after a wider mattress/swag then we'd probably suggest looking at something like the Mitchell Expedition Single Swag that comes with a wider mattress.
I noticed on another question you suggested the use of a spreader pole is possible with this swag. From the illustration it is hard to determine if the swag has eyelets to take the spreader as in the Mitchell Discovery. I can see what may well be tabs to take a guy rope but I would like to know if there are eyelets. Thanks for your help in this matter.
G'day Jason,
You can fit a spreader bar to the Biker Expedition Swag, however, it won't be an easy fit as there are not eyelets in the Biker Swag. You could retrofit some eyelets and make it work, but overall we'd say pegging out the head and foot end will be the best way to use this swag.
How much does the mattress in the oztrail biker swag weigh?
G'day Nick,
I've just weighed the mattress from the Biker Expedition Swag for you and it weighs 1.2kg.
Width? Length? Thanks.
G'day Henry,
I've measured the mat from our demo unit for you and it's 50cm wide x 195cm long x 5cm thick.
Is there an awning a head and foot?
G'day Peter,
I've just checked the Oztrail Biker Swag we have on display and as it's designed to be compact and lightweight there is just a small storm flap at the head and foot end to provide a little protection from the elements.
Does it need to be pegged or use a pole spreader?
G'day Sam,
Having had a good look at the Oztrail Biker Expedition Swag, you'll need to either peg out the ends or use a centre ridge pole to stop it from collapsing on you in the middle.
