Warranty1 answer
Hi there, We bought this last year, and absolutely loved it every time it came out with us. On our last trip, we took it out of the bag when we got to camp, only to find a 15cm crack/split in the middle of the centre panel. We’re really not sure how or when this happened, but would it be something that would be covered under the 5 year warranty?
hannah - Daw park(5 years ago)
G'day Hannah,
In general, warranties are for manufacturing issues, and based on your description it sounds like this might have been caused by accidental damage, however, we'd be happy to look at getting this assessed for you though, just jump onto our warranty claim page.

Safe if it gets rained on1 answer
How safe is this table if it gets wet ie is there any mdf under the table top that will swell if it gets wet? Is the top actual aluminium or is it just an aluminium look?
Heather - Mackay(5 years ago)
G'day Heather,
The Bi-Fold Steel Table - Aluminium Top is designed to withstand the rigours of outdoor use. The top is plastic laminate with an aluminium finish, so you won't have swelling issues like you would with an MDF top.

Do you stock the Melamine topped version?1 answer
"Do you stock the Melamine topped version? It's still not listed on your site & searching "39318" finds nothing. It is available according to Oztent Australia." Also, is the melamine top a better option than the (easily scratched) aluminum top when using a 2 burner gas stove on top?
Russell - Nambucca(7 years ago)
G'day Russell,
Since writing the answer to the earlier question, we've discontinued the Melamine Topped Oztent Bi-Fold Steel Table. If you give us a buzz on 1300 914 007, our customer service team will investigate as to whether or not we can get one in as a special order for you.

Top whitstands heat better than Darche Traka table?1 answer
Hi I have a Darche Traka table with a claimed heat resistant top but it buckled and disformed under the heat of my stove, and the coating shrunk and deformed. Is this similar looking table made of a superior quality materials to whistand the heat of a stove with a wind shield around it?
Steph - Perth(7 years ago)
G'day Steph,
The Oztent Bi-Fold Steel Table's top is an aluminium coated plastic, so I wouldn't recommend you put a stove directly on it. Your best might be to either grab a separate stove stand. Otherwise, you can lift the stove up off of the table a little using a cork block or similar to let the heat escape.

adjustable legs1 answer
does it come with a bag
are the legs adjusrable
Julian Lenehan - Richmond(7 years ago)
G'day Julian,
The Oztent Bi-Fold Steel Table comes with two different leg heights - a 'chair sitting' height and a 'coffee table' height. And yes - it does come with a carry bag.
Ben - Snowys(7 years ago)
Can you adjust the legs at individual heights for uneven ground?1 answer
Buzz - Snowy mountains(9 years ago)
The legs are not adjustable on this one sorry Buzz, you would have to move it around to find a level spot. The Explore Planet Earth Dash Tables have adjustable legs, but they don't fold up in the same manner as the Oztent tables.

Height1 answer
I have purchased the Oztent Jet Piltot Chair and was wondering if the height of this table is suitable for the chairs, especially when eating. Also what is the warranty length on this item?
Karin - SAN REMO, VIC(9 years ago)
Hi Karin, firstly the Oztent furniture range carry a 5 year warranty. Secondly, the Pilot chair is a little high to fit under this table. There are not many tables that this will tuck underneath. The most compatible contenders are the Companion 6 person Deluxe Quick Fold Table (code #36469) and the EPE Dash Table (code #43063) which has adjustable legs. The chair doesn't tuck all the way underneath, some of the leg structures get in the way.

Plastic components1 answer
Does this table have plastic parts? What are they?
Dagne - WA(9 years ago)
Yes the table clips into the legs with plastic clips as well as having plastic clips for leg storage. There are plastic sleeves around the mid leg joins and as covers at the base of the leg ends with the rest of the major joints being metal.

Is this table suitable for using a portable gas stove using portable gas canisters?1 answer
Doug - BLACKTOWN, NSW(9 years ago)
G'day Doug.
As the surface is aluminium, we'd be confident using this table for portable gas stove cooking.
If you were considering the other Bi-fold model (melamine top), we'd strongly suggest this model. Hope this helps.

Melamine in stock?1 answer
Do you have the Melamine version available? is he quality any different to the aluminium version?
Ashley - Vic(9 years ago)
Hi Ashley, we do have the melamine but it managed to remove itself from our website listing. I've found it and put it back in its rightful place under product code 39318. There isn't much difference between the melamine and aluminium. Maybe a little more heat resistance in the aluminium top, but the frame is exactly the same.
