The Basecamp Bc2 from Sea to Summit is the plush, spacious and versatile synthetic sleeping bag for trips where comfort is a priority.
This bag has a contoured rectangular shape to give you heaps of room, with a shell made from 30D DWR Nylon, and a 20D nylon lining for lightweight compressibility. For warmth, this bag has layers of looped THERMOLITE insulation, which traps warm air to keep you comfortable. To stop you getting tangled, the lining is attached to the shell, while the webbing loop system allows you to connect your bag to your sleeping mat.
You can control the temperature and ventilation of your bag thanks to the three two-way zips on this bag which separates the top and bottom layers so you can use the top as a quilt when the conditions call for it.
Whether you like to sleep curled up in a ball or all stretched out, the roomy Basecamp Bc2 from Sea to Summit is the swanky choice for luxurious camping.

does it fit for multi day hiking ?1 answer
I was planning to go trekking in the Grampians. I know this one: https://www.snowys.com.au/trek-tk2-sleeping-bag-1c?s=Regular%20-%20Left%20Zipper&gclid=Cj0KCQjwoaz3BRDnARIsAF1RfLcdkPtElM1xuPQ9oXrq1nq9_WwLOKRf__pDUGxzECnE05SC4npGiWwaAuXwEALw_wcB But apart from weight, I cant figure out much difference . Can I use this BC model for multi day hiking ?
ANIKET - Moorbbin(4 years ago)
G'day Aniket,
Thanks for getting in touch, the Basecamp Bc2 is a synthetic model bag, so while it is suitable for multi-day walking it is heavier and bulkier than the TK2 you've enquired about.

I would like to know what the difference is between basecamp 2 and 3 is apart the temperature ratings?
Dario - Melbourne (5 years ago)
G'day Dario,
Yes the difference between the Basecamp BC2 and BC3 sleeping bags is the temperature rating, and therefore the packed size and weight.

I want to buy two regular sizes of these bags. 1 answer
I want to be to use these as single bags and to also zip them together to sleep 2. Can this be done? It says LH and RH bags can be zipped together. What does this mean?
Simon - Tarragindi(5 years ago)
G'day Simon,
LH & RH refers to left hand or righ hand zippers. As this bag is dual zippered though, meaning it has full zips on both sides, the LH & RH isn't applicable. Thanks so much for picking that up, we'll fix that information! To confirm, two single basecamps bags will zip together to create a double when needed, however as the bottom of the bag is curved the joint at the bottom wont be quite flush.

down or synthetic?1 answer
is this down or polyester?? your website says THERMOLITE® insulation Using WaveLoft™ but the sea to summit website says ULTRA-DRY DOWN™ 750 LOFT 90/10 PREMIUM GREY DUCK DOWN https://www.seatosummitdistribution.com.au/sea-to-summit-basecamp-down-bcii.html
Sardo - Adelaide(6 years ago)
G'day Sardo,
The Basecamp Bc2 is a synthetic bag with Thermolite Insulation. The link you provided from Sea to Summit is for the now discontinued Basecamp BCII model which was a down bag. To reduce confusion, Sea to Summit have changed the name and colour of the new model down bag to Explore Ex2. Hopefully, this will help ease confusion.

Compressed size1 answer
Hello, there’s a photo showing a bag compressed to about the size of a camelback bottle...is that correct for this actual bag, and is that the regular size?
Bill - Victoria (6 years ago)
G'day Bill,
The Basecamp Bc2 Sleeping Bag compressed bag is correct and packs down to the size next to the Camelbak. There are two separate images next to Camelbak bottles with the larger one beingthe double size.
