Hi, My 12 year old is going on her first overnight hike. They will not carry tents, it will carry overnight sleeping gear and clothing, food. Is this pack big enough for an overnight hike?
G'day Nat,
Yes the B-Lite 35L Backpack should just be able to fit overnight gear for your 12-year-old, however this will depend on how compact the sleeping gear is. They're not overly deep from front to back due to the air frame design, so it would be worth checking the size of the sleeping gear against the in-use dimensions to see if you think everything will fit.
Hi, I am a male (184cm), will this pack fit, will hip belt sit low enough? Cheers, Mike.
G'day Mike,
You should be ok with the B-Lite 35L pack, the should strap length is adjustable, so you can set that up for your shoulder height once you've fit the hip belt.
Initially considered the 55L version for single day to multiple day hiking pack, but after watching the promotional video, noted the 55L seemed very large on the male and wondered, being female if I could get away with the 35L pack for 3-4 day hikes? i.e. Could it fit all the required gear?
G'day Sharon,
Good question, but the answer really depends on what other gear you own. My initial response would be that it really is too small, but it could work if you have a really fancy, tiny sleeping bag and tent etc. But most people will find the 55L is a much more adequate size. I'm around most weekdays if you'd like to discuss it further, give me a call on 1300 914 007. I've done loads of hiking and would be happy to have a chat.
Being a shorter daypack, I'm concerned that when I adjust the shoulder straps longer so that I can take the weight on the hip belt, that the sternum strap will ride up close to my throat. This will not be a problem if the sternum strap can be positioned to suit along the shoulder straps.
G'day Ross,
I wasn't entirely sure on this one, so I went and had a quick look at our display model Black Wolf B-Lite 35L Backpack. The sternum strap is adjustable right up and down the shoulder straps, so you'll be able to make it work for you, no worries at all.
G'day Ross,
You'd be pretty safe going with any bladder up to 3L inside your Black Wolf B-Lite 35L Backpack. I'd probably recommend looking at one of the Black Wolf Tank Bladder options.
Hi, This pack has larger dimensions than the Crux 40, but is only 35 litres. Does this pack infact carry more? Thanks
