Made in Australia, from heavy-duty Australian-made canvas and PVC, the Blacksmith range of Porta Potti Toilet Bags will protect your gear on your adventures for years to come.
Handmade using durable corespun polycotton thread and heavy-duty 420gsm (12oz) Australian Canvas with DDP (Defab Duraproofing Process) that is breathable, rotproof, and UV resistant to ensure it lasts. The canvas is constructed to be extremely rugged as it doesn’t skip the crucial bleaching process during manufacture, which prevents the material from breaking down over time. The base is made from heavy-duty 680gsm PVC tarpaulin fabric built for Australian conditions. This PVC is anti-mildew and anti-fungicide coated, plus easy to clean and UV stabilised so that it doesn’t get brittle after sun exposure.
It’s finished with sturdy 38mm webbing handles with reinforced stitching and two YKK spiral core zip sliders that glide smoothly around the squared edges of the bag. With a range of sizes available to suit the most popular portable toilets on the market, you’ll have a steadfast option for keeping your camp toilet protected while you’re exploring far and wide with the Porta Potti Toilet Bag from Blacksmith Camping Supplies.

Hey guys, what size bag is best for the GottaGo?
G'day Dean,
You'll need the X Large for the Joolca Gotta Go Toilet.
What size cover do I need for a W350xD430xH320 Thanks in advance
G'day Colin,
We'd recommend checking out the size guide on the product page. Based on the dimensions you've specified, you'd need the XL size.
Coleman portable flush toilet 50.3 x 45.2 x 30.2
G'day Denise,
I'm not too sure which order your dimensions are given in, so I'm not too sure whether we have anything that will fit. If you click on the size guide, then the bag sizes are listed there. The XL might come close, but I'm not sure anything will quite fit your toilet sorry.
Hi, Snow(y)folk, I've needed a bag for my camping loo, & initially was leaning towards a black polyester one that BCF sells, but when I saw that these ones zipped at the actual *bottom* - which means less heavy lifting for me - I was successfully wooed away. What size bag would be ideal for my portable privvy, the dimensions of which are decidedly generous, at 44cmH 42cmW? (Sorry for asking you to do the really basic brainwork for me; I know the specifications are listed right here, in the description, it's not that I'm just lazy, but rather I have a migraine today & my brain has decided all numbers are a foreign language.) Thanks in advance, :-)
Hi Pamela,
I think your best option will be the XL size. They are 46H x 45D x 38W cm, so hopefully, that will suit yours depending on how deep your toilet is.
Is that size XL able to fit the Thetford Porta Potti 565E Electric Pump? Please let me know asap. Many thanks
G'day Sam,
Yes the team at Blacksmith have designed the XL size bag to fit the 565E model so you'll have no troubles at all.
Dimensions: 42cm D x 35cm W x 38cm H
G'Day Carol,
The dimensions of the Large Blacksmith Porta Potti Toilet Bag are 39D x 37W x 40H cm. You would be fine on the height and width, but the depth has a 3cm variation. While there is some flexibility with the curves on the toilet you have and the excess canvas from the width, I can not guarantee the fit without trying the toilet in the bag.
G'Day Carol,
Exciting news! We have just added an XL size to the Porta Potti Toilet Bag range that will fit the CampEzi 20L Portable Camping Toilet.
porta potti 365
Gday Mark.
The Porta Potti 365 cube fits in the Large Size Bag.
Hi, Would the zips hold up to lifting the porta potti with the weight of full or partially full tanks, as I see the handles don’t go all the way around the bag.
G'day Mark,
The team from Blacksmith has done some testing, they popped the toilet, plus a 10kg weight in the bag and suspended in for 60 seconds, the zips held up with no troubles at all, so we're confident in the quality of the bag and zips under load.
That's an excellent question and mine as well. I think it's a design fault, having all the weight held by the zipper, good as it might be, not the straps. Remember, 365 Porta Potti can hold 35ltrs (35Kgs). That's a lot to ask of a zipper if you have to move before emptying the can.
Thanks for the feedback regarding the design Rob, I'll pass it on to the Blacksmith team.
G'day Mark & Rob,
Off the top, thank you for your feedback… we’re all ears when it comes to new ideas!
A bit of background... we’ve designed the toilet bags so that they’ll be easy to clean as well as being comfortable to carry - not to mention, to last forever.
We decided against running the shoulder straps to the PVC base for two reasons; it would prevent the PVC base from opening (for easy cleaning) and the waterproofness would be compromised.
You’re right in saying it’s a lot to ask for the zips to handle 35kgs (plus the weight of the toilet) - but despite prioritising ease of use, we’re still confident the heavy-duty YKK zips & reinforced stitching can handle the weight if you’re caught in a situation where the bag was required to carry the maximum load.
And if not, we’ll buy it back from you.
Cheers!
Which bag is the best fit for a Thetford Porta Potti Qube 345
G'day David,
The Medium size has been designed to fit the Porta Potti Qube 345 model.
.
G'day Matt,
We don't actually stock the Porta Potti Excellence, so I can't test it out for you to be sure, but based on the dimensions it's not going to fit I'm afraid.
G'day Matt,
Just an update, Blacksmith has just released a new XL model to fit the Thetford Excellence Toilets. Cheers!
